Incoming Freshmen, Listen Up! The Truth About HBCUs No One Tells You — Ep70.

Budding storyteller, journalist, and double-HBCU student Shimei Cook has a lot to say on politics, the power of being selfish and the truth about HBCUs that fly under the radar. His life - changing decision to transfer from North Carolina Central University to Fayetteville State University bears some tips that incoming freshman must hear as they make their college selection. The selection must be selfish. Prioritize one’s own needs, choose the right environment and be brutally honest with oneself. Clearly not all HBCUs are created equally and Shimei isn’t afraid to speak on the importance of picking the right one and HOW! All opinions expressed by guests do not reflect the views of "I Love My HBCU?" A new episode premieres every Saturday at Noon EST.
