Increase My Faith Part 6: Faith That Never Gives Up (Ps Marvelous)

from Rock Of Refuge Ministries · host Pastor Njabulo

THE FAITH THAT NEVER GIVES UP📖 Luke 18:1–8Jesus begins this parable with a powerful truth: “Men always ought to pray and not lose heart.”This sets the tone for what kind of faith God is looking for — a faith that persists, endures, and refuses to quit even when nothing seems to change. The story of the widow and the unjust judge teaches us that faith must be consistent. The widow had no status, no power, and no support. Yet she kept coming, kept asking, and refused to be ignored. Her persistence moved even a corrupt judge. If persistence can move the unjust, how much more can it move a righteous God?Faith that never gives up is not casual or seasonal; it is a daily lifestyle. It’s the faith that endures through silence, delay, and difficulty. Jesus said God may “bear long,” meaning sometimes He seems silent. But delay is not denial — it is preparation. Waiting seasons are classrooms where endurance and strength are developed. Isaiah 40:31 promises that those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. When the appointed time comes, God acts suddenly. What seems slow will shift quickly when Heaven’s timing arrives. God may take time to answer, but when He acts, He acts speedily. That is why we must keep praying, believing, and expecting. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to “pray without ceasing.” Persistent prayer is not nagging God; it is standing in faith until His promise manifests.Jesus ends the parable with a striking question: “When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”This shows that real faith is not proven in starting but in continuing. It’s easy to believe at the beginning, but enduring faith believes until the end. Galatians 6:9 encourages us not to grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not faint. Likewise, Hebrews 10:35–36 reminds us not to throw away our confidence, because it carries great reward. The faith that never gives up prays without quitting, stands on the Word, refuses to consider circumstances, and holds fast to hope. Like Abraham, it doesn’t look at the impossibility — it focuses on the promise. Matthew 4:4 says man shall live by every word that proceeds from God’s mouth. Faith lives by what God said, not by what it sees.Even while waiting, faith worships. It keeps declaring the promises of God. It keeps expecting good things. Psalm 62:5says, “My expectation is from Him.” Expectation keeps faith alive. The widow’s persistence moved the heart of the unjust judge — and your persistence will move the heart of God. God is looking for people who say, “Lord, I will not give up.” Your faith is working, even when you cannot see it. Your persistence is producing a reward. God has heard every cry and seen every prayer, and your answer is on the way.So, keep praying. Keep believing. Keep pressing. Keep standing. Don’t lose heart, because your breakthrough is closer than it seems. When you hold on in faith, Heaven will respond speedily. This is the faith that never gives up — enduring faith, warfare faith, stubborn faith, and unshakable faith. The faith that stands firm through every season and says, “I will trust You until You answer.”
