Independence and Interdependence

Assistant Minister Rev. Chris Jimmerson's sermon delivered on July 5, 2015. The beginning of our Declaration of Independence lays out a set of values to which we aspire but have not always fulfilled. As our Standing on the Side of Love campaign and the recent Supreme Court decision establishing marriage equality demonstrate, our Unitarian and Universalist religious traditions have always been and continue to be intertwined with our social mores and our political system.
