Ahmedabad put on a splendid show with a packed house of 1,30,000 people but Pakistan failed to live up to expectations, falling to a crushing 7-wicket defeat. Pakistan's performance in the match was underwhelming, failing to meet expectations. Their inability to secure even a single victory against India in World Cup matches since 1992 was glaringly evident. The team's strategy and planning were called into question, particularly in light of Mickey Arthur's post-match comments. Arthur, the team director, expressed his disappointment, stating that the match felt more like a BCCI event rather than an ICC one.His remarks sparked controversy and drew criticism from former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram, who blasted Arthur for his comments.And, the crowd behaviour in Ahmedabad was in the spotlight.
