Indiana Player with Heart: Cynthia Memering

Cynthia Memering has been named as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her dedication and passion both on and off the court. She plays volleyball, is involved in National Honor Society and Interact Club, coaches a school feeder volleyball club, and balances those commitments while working several days a week. Through these experiences, she has developed a strong work ethic while building relationships and learning the value of teamwork and leadership. Cynthia is also active in her community, volunteering through National Honor Society and Interact Club. Her service includes working with First City Sunrise Homeless Shelter and the Vincennes Half Marathon as well as tutoring middle and high school students. Cynthia also assists at elementary school fundraisers, helps with the Future Chefs of America competition, and supports youth programming at Bethany Christian Church. Agriculture has played a meaningful role in Cynthia's life as well. Growing up on her family’s farm, she has learned valuable lessons about hard work, responsibility, and family. To her, agriculture represents a way of life that brings families and communities together while providing the resources people depend on every day. After graduation, Cynthia plans to attend the University of Louisville to study dental hygiene.
