Indiana Player with Heart: Mallory Watt

Mallory Watt has been named a Beck’s Player with Heart due to her dedication to her school, community, and the agriculture industry. To Mallory, agriculture is a large part of how she learned responsibility, gratitude, and what it means to put her whole heart into something. Since she grew up on a farm, some of her earliest memories include helping my family with livestock chores. Farm life taught her how to work hard, stay committed, and show up even when things aren’t easy. The long days, early mornings, and moments spent working side-by-side with her family gave her a strong work ethic she's proud of and shaped who she is today. In school, Mallory is involved in cross-country, indoor track, and outdoor track. She is also the class president and president of the National Honor Society. Mallory is co-founder and manager of the Tiger Den, which is her school's apparel store, co-founder and leader of the Tigers Give Back philanthropy club; and a member of the Renaissance committee, which plans school functions and encourages student engagement. She also participates as a livestock showman for the Watt Livestock Show Team, showing cattle and swine. She has discovered a lot through the opportunities presented in her high school sports and activities. Mallory has learned that as a leader, it is her duty to leave the team better than how she found it and finds joy in figuring out how to better the environment around her. Mallory serves as 4-H club president and vice president of Gibson County Junior Leaders. She helps prepare meals for foster families through the Isaiah 1:17 project and participates in her church as a lector and cantor.
