Good morning. Indiana. I'm Aaron Jolly. If you stepped outside early, you walked into a wall of fog. Visibility down to a quarter mile in spots, especially south of I-70. Dense Fog Advisory until 10 A.M., so take it slow on the commute. The fog burns off by mid-morning as temperatures take off like a rocket. And I mean rocket. We're smashing records today — highs in the mid to upper 70s statewide. Indianapolis could hit 77 degrees, breaking the 1973 record of 75. That's 25 degrees above normal for early March. Spring equinox is still two weeks out, but it feels like May crashed the party early. Down in Indianapolis. Here comes 77. Head northeast toward Fort Wayne and you're at 71. Up near South Bend, 70 degrees. Southwest Indiana? You're the warmest — Evansville pushes 81. Humidity climbs this afternoon. And isolated showers and thunderstorms pop up. Nothing severe, but a few rumbles are possible. Winds pick up too — gusts to 24 miles an hour from the south. Tonight stays mild — lows in the low 60s. But here's where it gets interesting. A line of storms rolls in late tonight into Saturday morning. Showers and thunderstorms arrive around daybreak Saturday, spreading east through mid-morning. A few could turn strong with gusty winds. Rain totals of a half inch to an inch, which is bad news for areas already dealing with flooding south of I-70. Here's your week ahead. Saturday brings that rain, then we dry out Sunday with highs in the low 60s and sunshine. Monday warms back to 70, but rain chances return Monday night.
