Dense fog has rolled in thick enough to cut with a knife. Visibility down to a quarter mile in spots. In the next 24 hours. But here's where it gets interesting. Indiana is running two completely different mornings right now. Southwest Indiana is sitting at 59 degrees with thunderstorms rumbling through. Central Indiana? Fifty-four degrees and wrapped in fog. Keep pushing north and it's a different world entirely. Northern Indiana is stuck at 42 degrees. And the Northeast is a chilly 38 degrees. Active alerts you need to know about. A Flood Warning is in effect for parts of Marion. Hancock. And Shelby counties until 8:15 A.M. A Flood Watch covers much of central and southern Indiana until 1 P.M. and a Dense Fog Advisory hangs on for Lake and Porter counties through this afternoon. Southwest Indiana climbs to 70 degrees with thunderstorms likely. Central Indiana hits 65 degrees as rain tapers off. Northern areas stay cooler, topping out near 53 degrees. Tonight, the rain backs off but fog lingers. Lows hold in the mid-40s to near 60 degrees down south. Friday is the warm day. Highs surge to 76 degrees in Central Indiana, 71 in the Northeast. And 78 in the Southwest. That's 36 degrees to 36 degrees above normal for early March. We could be flirting with records.
