Industrial Siting Council approves Laramie Range Wind permit one year after county commissioners' denial

Following almost 18 hours of discussion over two days, the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality's (DEQ) Industrial Siting Council (ISC) approved a permit allowing the Laramie Range Wind Project to be built on private and state lands.   This week, Alyssa Tolman, our local government and business reporter, sat in on the ISC's hearing Monday and Tuesday, which included three lawyers representing the DEQ, wind farm developer ConnectGen Laramie County and nearby landowners.   Stick around until the end for a roundup of upcoming events in the area and a recap of the top stories from the WTE newsroom over the past week.   Provide feedback or suggestions to [email protected].
