SANDY GRUSHOW is one of a rare breed of entertainment executives who has successfully married his vast experience in traditional media with the explosive world of digital media and technology. For nearly 25 years, Grushow achieved creative, financial, and strategic leadership success as chairman of FOX’s broadcast network and television studio, where his tenure saw the debut of “American Idol,” “24,”House,”Malcolm in the Middle,” and “The OC.” Additionally, he is widely credited as the instrumental leader in the establishment of the new brand identity of the broadcast network and helped launch such signature hits as “The Simpsons,” “In Living Color,” “Beverly Hills 90210,” and “Cops.” when Grushow assumed the presidency of the networks’ entire entertainment operations, he became the youngest executive to ever hold such a post. In that leadership role, he oversaw the development and launch of “The X-Files,” “Melrose Place,” and “Party of Five,” while expanding the network from 4 to 7 nights of primetime programming. in his duties at FOX’s TV studio division, 20th Century Fox Television. Grushow inherited an 8th-ranked studio with just 5 shows on the air. With Grushow at the helm, the studio’s output quickly ballooned to 22 shows, surpassing Warner Brothers Television to become Hollywood’s top-ranked studio.
