Infectious disease doctor weighs in on hantavirus response
from KNX News On Demand
Eighteen people from the hantavirus cruise ship have returned to the U.A. Sixteen of those people are at the federally funded quarantine center in Nebraska, and two are in biocontainment at Emory University in Atlanta. One of those people is symptomatic. What's not clear is whether the rest will have to stay in quarantine for the whole incubation period, which can be up to eight weeks. Peter Chin Hong, an infectious disease doctor at UCSF, talks about it with KNX News' Alex Silverman.
