Sorry for the late launch on this cast everyone! Alright everyone here we go! We are starting a journey into how to use the most powerful set of tools at a leaders disposal: Influence. It has been my observation that there is a lot of talk about influence but not so much on application. Many authors talk principles, or research the "what" of influence but not the "how". That is our destination the "how" of influence. In this weeks cast we talk about the bedrock of influence, building trust through listening. You will learn how to cultivate authentic curiosity, how to overcome boredom when listening, and most importantly how to navigate past "positions" to understand "interests." We continue our exploration of the difference between positions and interests. Getting past a position to someones interests will allow you to find other right answers and ultimately influence the other person.
