It was plain that the doctrine of Christ made war upon the devil's kingdom of demons. Jesus’ power has a direct tendency to break Satan’s power, and crush his interest concerning the souls of human beings. Jesus, casting of demons out of the bodies of people confirmed His Word, doctrines and gave the ministry spiritual foundations. Deliverance is a direct assault against Satan’s kingdom. Satan controls the unbelieving souls and loses power over them when he is defeated by the superior power of Jesus Christ and the person is freed by His authority. Christ is so wise that being engaged in war with Satan; Christ will attack Satan’s forces wherever he meets them, whether in the spirit, mind, or bodies of people, v. 27. Christ's design is to enter into the sof the controlling demons in order to take possession of the person’s body; then to spoil influences. Then he converts the person to His own service. Therefore, the order that Jesus used to accomplish this work in the person, He will bind the strong man, forbid him to speak; when the demon would try to speak to put up an argument or to stay, Jesus forbid him speak and to “Hold thy peace,” Mark 1: [25] “And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him,”; thus bringing the demon under his total dominion showing that He gained a victory over the demon. The deliverance ministry is not a contest of battling demons. It’s having total superior power over them and defeating them in the name of Jesus because of his finished work on the cross.
