Injured soldier "hooked by Our Lady" in Lourdes

Interviews from the International Military Pilgrimage that took place at the shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in May 2019. Lance Corporal Jone Caniogo served in the Royal Engineers. He first came to Lourdes after suffering a bad ankle injury playing rugby. "When I first went I was hooked by Our Lady and I couldn't stop coming. That affirmed my faith. It has grown and that's why I come back every year. "I return from Lourdes refreshed, charged with my faith, and happy to share it with others - even if they don't believe. "I can go to our military chaplains in complete confidence. They are almost like the servant that Jesus was - they try to imitate Jesus by their service and what they share. They can point me in the right direction - we walk this journey together."
