Innermind. (R.I.P. Allen Stepney)
from itsjustdra Hosted by itsjustdra
In an era where 20-song albums – built to trick the algorithms of our modern streaming platforms – have become common, “Where The Flowers Grow,” is a refreshingly cohesive and compact 35-minutes of music that never feels like an emulation. Di plays to his strengths on ‘#WTFG.’ His unique cadence and poetic style of writing is a perfect fit for the jazzy instrumentals layered throughout the track list. Melodic guest appearances from artists including theMIND and Ellen Pieroni, meld seamlessly with Diverze’s distinct delivery. When the opportunity to let his hunger be felt is presented, DIVERZE. jumps at the chance. On songs like Supreme and OH LAWD, he effortlessly flexes an up-tempo flow over the album’s heaviest bass lines. Ultimately, both tracks serve to break up an otherwise mellow listening experience. While acts like Griselda may have put Buffalo back on the map, acts like DIVERZE. will keep it there. Where The Flowers Grow is available now on Apple Music, Spotify, and anywhere you can stream music." Credit: @benhauver on Twitter/IG.
