The corpse of a dead god, a wound in reality that transcended time and space had been unburied there. However, close to the source of the Affliction and the Guests, the afflicted became docile and could even be reasoned with to provide aid to the party. This measure of peace was short-lived, however as after leaving the dig site the party was confronted with two gigantic werewolf abominations, each puppeted by dozens of parasites and armored to the teeth.
