El tandilense Oscar Peñalba es médico traumatólogo en Madrid (España) y desarrolló una técnica absolutamente innovadora para reemplazar las partes blandas (superficies de rozamiento) de la articulación de la rodilla.  Las prótesis son imprimidas en 3D en Estados Unidos y están hechas "a medida" de cada paciente.  "Conseguimos la perfección", asegura Peñalba, quien lleva 32 años en la especialidad.  "Al ser de la misma medida, todas las partes de la rodilla trabajan igual que en su estado original".
