Innovate to Educate, Episode 28 - The importance of design thinking in CTE pathways.

from WCNY Community FM · host WCNY Community FM

How we are working towards shifting our mindsets as educators to implement meaningful hands-on learning experiences for all students that lead to fruitful futures. There is a paradigm shift occurring in education -- CTE and Vocational Education have very often been seen as not as advanced or as valuable as other disciplines in public education. We are taking charge of that paradigm shift towards viewing hands-on experiential learning as the valuable and viable outlet it has always been. Technology Education can be the great equalizer for our students, and by implementing purposeful design thinking based Technology & Engineering pathways we can make sure all students can see themselves and their talents in their learning, leading them to fruitful futures.
