from Leadership in Action · host eoleadershipinaction

Is your company making a positive impact? Ryan Villanueva, Co-Founder of Best Delegate Model United Nations and Growth Consultant at Crews Consulting Group, shares with us how to align the economic and social impacts of your company in order to have shared value. He outlines the importance of establishing a vision for your business, by answering the 6 W’s, so that the rest of the entrepreneurial process comes at ease.   Takeaways: Entrepreneurship doesn’t just include startups that are venture-backed, tech, SaaS, etc. It is much broader than that and includes anyone who wants to make a positive change.  Our social impact should be aligned with our economic impact. Creating economic and social value simultaneously makes shared value. It allows us to make new markets that generate revenue. Creating shared value is unlimited to the extent that the market can grow, and is making a social impact as well, thus making a scalable impact. By creating profitability and jobs, you are supporting the world's global goal of economic growth. Determine the ‘x’ of your company, or what your economic engine is. If you are always reaching for the x, you are always driving the financials of a company. Establish the W’s of your business; who, what, where, when, and why. Start with why. This will help you establish your company’s vision People who are successful entrepreneurs are also involved in philanthropy. It is important to have alignment. Grow your entrepreneurial knowledge to provide value to your own experiences and ideas.   Shout Outs: Michael Porter - Harvard Professor https://www.hbs.edu/faculty/Pages/profile.aspx?facId=6532 Kevin Felix Chan  https://www.linkedin.com/in/kevinfelixchan/ Entrepreneurship Organization - Accelerator Program https://hub.eonetwork.org   Links: Website: www.learnmodelun.com  Email for discussing Model UN: [email protected] Email for discussing business and entrepreneurship: [email protected]  Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ryanvilla/   Ways to Tune In: Apple Podcast - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/leadership-in-action/id1585042233 Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/2t4Ksk4TwmZ6MSfAHXGkJI Stitcher - https://www.stitcher.com/show/leadership-in-action Google Play - https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubGVhZGVyc2hpcGluYWN0aW9uLmxpdmUvZmVlZC54bWw Amazon Music - https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/4263fd02-8c9b-495e-bd31-2e5aef21ff6b/leadership-in-action YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnpKs6UMZZs
