When Lawrence reaches out to Issa to meet up for drinks we don’t know what to expect, but it’s all love and good vibes when they’re together. They catch up on life, talk about their career goals, dreams, and aspirations, and get closure regarding their past mistakes. In a night that never ends, LawrIssa LITERALLY walk on cloud nine. There aren’t enough words to describe the chemistry, love, and passion between these two characters - shout out to the beautiful Issa Rae and amazing Jay Ellis for the heat they bring this episode! His corny matches her corny, his swag elevates her awkward, and her beauty meets his sexy. THEY ARE THEE PERFECT TV COUPLE. By the end of the night, a more mature and all grown up Issa and Lawrence both find their happy place and we, the viewing audience, are blessed with a “happy ending.” In all the #blacklove and beauty of this episode, it’s hard to tell whether we watched an old couple fall back in love, or two people gain the closure they need to leave their past behind and truly open their hearts to new love.
