No amount of planning could have prepared New York City for today's massive ticker tape parade celebrating the Knicks winning the NBA championship. The city deployed 10,000 NYPD officers for one of the biggest parades in New York history. Justin Finch was right in the middle of the action. And there continues to be shock and sadness over the 18-year-old tourist who was killed after a horse broke loose in New York's Central Park. It was the first fatality involving carriage horse rides in Manhattan, reigniting the debate over whether they should even exist. It comes on the heels of another carriage horse suddenly collapsing and dying. As Alison Hall reports, it turns out the horse had eaten a poisonous plant. Plus, as Father's Day approaches, one dad found himself at the center of the great bathroom debate. He was at a gas station when his two young daughters needed to use the restroom. There wasn't a family restroom, so he took them into the women's bathroom, leading to a confrontation with a man who called 911. As Steven Fabian reports, it's a dilemma for parents coast to coast: which is the appropriate bathroom to use with young children. And the Obama Library officially opened today in Chicago, and President Trump couldn't resist taking a shot, calling it a complete disaster while sharing images of his planned library, a skyscraper in Miami complete with two gold statues of himself.
