The Republican National Convention is underway and the assassination attempt over the weekend on former President Trump has dramatically changed the tone of the convention. With speeches being re-written to focus on a message of unity. It's been more than 40 years since an attempt has been made on a sitting or former president's life - not since Ronald Reagan was shot in 1981. And Trump is praising the secret service agents for their heroic actions, taking down the gunman with quote "one shot between the eyes." The counter sniper made the shot from 140 yards away, saving not only the former president but many others in the crowd. Plus, we're learning more about the 20-year-old shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, who graduated high school two years ago. He didn't have much of a social media presence and fellow classmates say he was a loner who kept to himself. He can however be seen in the background of a TV commercial that just happened to be shot at his school. And the assassination attempt came just two days before the start of the convention in Milwaukee. 50,000 people are in Milwaukee for the event, and security officials say they are ready to go.
