As gas prices soar due to the war in the Middle East, we're seeing a new problem: a gas theft spree, including this one. Someone tried to syphon gas from U-Haul trucks in a parking lot, but as Jim Moret reports, he ended up causing a big explosion that lead to an inferno. And major security concerns for this weekend's Oscar ceremony. Today, host Conan O’Brien helped roll out the red carpet at LA’s Dolby theater. On Sunday, there will be a "ring of steel" protecting the A-list crowd, and for good reason. As Les Trent reports, the FBI is warning cops of a possible drone attack. Plus, scary close call. We knew Rihanna was home when cops say a woman shot at her Beverly Hills mansion with an assault rifle, but now we're learning she wasn't inside the house, but rather in her RV that was directly hit by bullets. And the student accused of killing his teacher during a prank gone horribly wrong is speaking out. The 18-year-old and his friends were toilet papering his math teacher's house and as he was making his getaway, cops say he accidentally ran the teacher over. Now he says he feels deep remorse, and he pledges to live his life to honor the man who died.
