The song began with Justin Arlo’s foundation of chords, lyrics, and vocal melody, and from there the band pushed it into something bigger. Mike Murf laid down a warm, driving bass performance that locks the whole track into place. Ryan shaped the heartbeat of the song with his drum composition and added harmonies that deepen the chorus. Aaron carved out the lead guitar work, guitar solo, and vocal harmonies adding texture, energy, and a touch of chaos where the song needed it most. Rob and Jordan Kirk added their own vocal layers, giving the song lift and character. We tracked it, mixed it, and mastered it ourselves. No gloss. No outside hands. Just the four of us and a couple friends in a room, turning a feeling into a song.
