Borthwick Castle is located 30-minutes from Edinburgh and is one of the finest surviving examples of medieval architecture and has a storied history including playing host to Mary Queen of Scots and her husband the Earl of Bothwell during her reign in the 16th century. In 2013 the castle underwent an extensive, multi-million-dollar renovation. This January, Borthwick Castle was featured in Vogue as the venue for Outlander star Graham McTavish and photographer and fashion darling Garance Doré's stunning winter wedding.
