The CIA has established a new task force focused on Cuba as the Trump administration increases pressure on the island’s government, while years of sanctions and an oil embargo continue to reshape daily life for ordinary Cubans. Amid worsening shortages, many have responded with remarkable creativity and an increased dependence on neighbors, churches, and one another. Their experience raises a broader question about the balance between relying on others and taking responsibility for the needs God has placed before us.
