from Springville Road Community Church

Text: Mark 1:35-45 I. The Humanity of Jesus - “in the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up.” * Problem - “Many deceivers who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver, and the antichrist.” II John 7 II. The Habits of Jesus - “went to a secluded place, and there He was praying.” * Prayer - “But He Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray.” Luke 5:16 * Preaching - “Let us go somewhere else to the towns nearby so that I may preach there also.” III. The Help of Jesus -“Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, I am willing be cleansed. Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.” * Command - “be cleansed” by definition conveys the idea of a decisive act. Meaning that the lepers healing was immediate, complete, and visible to all present.” Whether Jesus was praying, preaching, or healing, lives were being touched. Thank God for Jesus Christ, “the author and finisher of our faith.”
