Vanakkam/ Namaste/Hello Everyone! We are back with another episode of #insidethemindsofgreatyogis. On this episode, We spoke with Nikita Desai on our 37th episode and loved hearing her perspective on yoga! About Nikita : Nikita Desai is a yoga instructor & the owner of Arya Yoga Studio. Her Asana practice began seven years ago following a skydive where she fractured her lumber spine &. was told by doctors that the only way to fix it was through surgery which involved having metal screws placed on her spine. This wasn’t a route that she wanted to go down & she tried to find alternative ways to heal her body. Anxiety & depression had always been running themes throughout her life too & the physical injury caused more of it, so yoga seemed to fall into her lap at the right time. Her work also includes representing yoga in its entirety by keeping its roots alive, dismantling discrimination in yoga and wellness & helping native teachers find their voice in these spaces.
