Inside the SCCA | Club Spec Mustang First Shakedown

from The Racing Network · host Brian Bielanski

Episode 142 of Inside the SCCA was a pinch me moment for your intrepid host... I was asked to be one of the first drivers to test what we believe is the first Club Spec Mustang ever built. We tested at the Goodyear Proving Grounds in Akron. It gave me an opportunity to drive at a track some of the greatest drivers in motorsports history have driven on. My guest for this episode was Goodyear Test Driver and two-time SCCA Solo Nationals Champion Dave Ogburn. We also have video of some of the cars in action. Here are some of the people who helped make this build happen in record time. Jay Chapman – Goodyear -- https://www.racegoodyear.com/ Sam Strano – StranoParts: curated parts, and hand delivered them to installation shop https://www.stranoparts.com/ Allen Briere – KONI: found and donated set of KONI Yellow shocks for the car Mitchell Bloom – Hawk Performance: donated Hawk DTC 60 front and DTC 30 rear pads, plus new DOT 4 fluid Bill Snow – Atomic Autosport: Offered shop space to install Club Spec parts https://atomicautosports.com/ Matthew Harbert – Atomic Autosport: Offered his time free of charge to install Club Spec parts George Katona – InSignOut Printing: Designed livery and executed the printing of all the decals https://insignout.us/ Jim Liaw – PRI: Promotion of Club Spec through PRI Ryan Kirkwood – UMI Performance: Coordination of parts with Sam Strano Ramey Womer – UMI Performance: Coordination of parts with Sam Strano Partners - A big thank you to our partners who help make Inside the SCCA possible!
