Anne will not be with us today. She's feeling a little under the weather and we hope that she has a speedy recovery from her head cold. I don't know what it is. It's not COVID.
No, it's not. And she said I could tell. It's cold and Oscar P that she had today. And everything went well, but it's like not a really fun thing to go through, but so she's she's upstairs sleeping.
Took the old two but the Hershey Highway, the rotor router with the camera attached to it. Anyway, I do recommend as you hit that 50 that's a really good thing to do. And then every 10 years after that. So this is our public service announcement for the day.
I guess I don't have to worry about that for another 12 years. You guys are lucky. So I just turned 38 like a month ago. See I was told to start doing them at 40 and I'm in do it when I guess that we're going by that age.
I'm going to go by that age. I'm still not there. I hate you. They're they're they're not fun, but they're not they're not terrible.
You could save your life. You know, that's what they're saying. It's it's kind of a embarrassing maybe a little inconvenient, but you know, if it's gonna save your life, then. If you want to know what it's like to have a colonoscopy watch the 2000 stand-up comedy done by Rob Williams live on Broadway.
He does a perfect little skid about colonoscopies there. It's fun. According to him, not. The skits funny though.
A long time ago, 20 years ago. Yeah, the end did say the worst part about the whole thing was drinking the liquid that you do the night before. Yeah, through it go like a gallon of the stuff and like every 15 minutes a couple and she goes, it is so nasty and vile and they said, oh, it's even lemon flavor. She said, where?
When they were making it, they shouted the word lemon in the same room. Lemon. It's lemon flavor. It's the lemon.
It's on the way out. It's on the mixture mixture butthole pucker. So yeah, that's a and that ties into ghosts. Because you're releasing the demons.
Yes, we're cleansing. We're releasing demons and cleansing. Cleansing for the inside. We're making you spiritually whole from the inside out.
All right. So segue time. Let's get off that one. Let's transition into something else now, shall we?
I got an idea. Oh, yeah, we can do that. So I have either of you been on an investigation since last time recorded like a month ago because I have not stuff happened. I got I got a kind of a COVID scare.
I had a cold my work sent me home. I called my doctor trying to get a doctor's not so I didn't get in trouble at work and then they told me to go get a COVID test. So I had to wait for my results when I got the results and was clear to go back to work like two days later, my vacation started and then I got robbed. That was fun.
You got robbed. I sure did. I was walking up at about five o'clock in the morning by my older brother who was on his way to work and he when he went outside my my driver's side door and my my trunk was wide open and I ran outside and you know kind of looked a little bit just kind of noticed some of the big stuff that was missing. Immediately called the police and they dispatched him right away and we kind of went through my car.
My most of my paranormal gear was stolen. Oh, you're kidding. Fortunately, a couple hours one of my neighbor across the street was actually came outside to see what was going on. And you know, this is the guy that's lived across from front of me from how many years and I'm just barely starting to get an owner.
He's a great guy. But I told him what was going on and some of the stuff that went missing that I knew over the time. And he later that day he went to walk his dog and his dog started freaking out and actually ran into a part of their yard. And in that part of the yard, they actually found my case that had the majority of my paranormal gear.
It didn't look like they had opened it. It looks like they just ditched it for whatever reason. Wow. Maybe they were standing there nearby and had to get rid of the evidence so that they wouldn't be.
But they did keep my backpack. They went through my backpack and stole my video camera. My my nice expensive, you know, shouny night shop video camera. They stole my laptop and they stole that there's a couple bluetooth speakers.
They stole they stole my tarot cards, which is just beyond me. Like one of them was in my backpack and I kind of get that. I know they went through my backpack. They actually ditched some stuff out of it like on my flashlights and a book that I borrowed from Dave, ghost physics.
They actually ditched that. Oh yeah, I got that book. They they took my lunch box. They took the bluetooth speaker that was in it out and ditched the lunch box.
And they took I had a big white box of my magic the gathering training cards. They also had half of a cell in that game in it. They took that too. The weird thing is like they went through everything in my car like inside the car itself and in the trunk.
Nothing was in the same spot. Nothing was everything was just rearranged. Everything was rearranged except for one item. I got lucky they didn't take my nice $150 condenser mic that I use.
But I have I took it home because I wasn't using here. That was that was still there. It had been moved but it was still there. But the one thing that they didn't even touch like it didn't look like it was out of place like even like handles or exactly how I left them.
My cleansing kit with all my crystals was the only thing in my car that looked like it hadn't been touched at all. And I'm very very thankful that that's something they didn't take. Because like I'm working with my insurance. I just I gotta get them an inventory list of everything with stolen kind of like prices and stuff like that.
But most of the stuff I can get reimbursed for like my insurance will help cover some of it and I'll be able to rebuy some of the stuff. But how they taking those crystals they're just I would have been devastated. There would have been no way to replace that stuff because a lot of that stuff is like kind of one of the kind stuff that I gathered over the last like three or four years if not longer. Some of it was stuff that was gifted to me by some of the shop owners that I frequent and and there's a lot of sentimental value with that stuff.
And like no two crystals are alike. So replacing a crystal is damn near impossible. And I got super lucky that they didn't touch those at all. Like the bag was exactly I left everything else in the trunk had been moved around.
That bag was right where I left it. That's amazing. That's good. That's good.
That's good news. So I mean I did get some of my stuff back and they still got some of the more expensive stuff and the it wasn't just me they hit too. It was like my whole neighborhood. They went through they hit wasn't your car.
They hit well they got into people's cars and if they had garages and if they had a garage door opener and they got into the garage too like one of my neighbors had their kids bike and scooter stolen. Oh unfortunately we recovered those two items they were actually on the street below mine. They ditched those as well. So they hit a couple streets.
They hit a couple streets they hit a couple neighborhoods actually I found out that they didn't hit just my neighborhood they had another neighborhood as well. So and they did have them on video. All my neighbors did so the police have their pictures and it's out there. Hopefully they get apprehended soon and it sounds like you've got insurance so you're going to be fine.
I'm going to be fine. Yeah I mean the hardest part about this all is been it's just been emotionally damaging. The one thing I can describe it is like the only other time I felt this way is when I had that attack at the sign building when I first met you guys. Yeah like then I just it was just I was so emotionally it's like drained like I couldn't sleep for like a month.
I had a hard time it was only for like a week but I had a hard time sleeping. It's like every little sound I heard outside like I was running outside of my car. I know these fools aren't going to come back. No one's that stupid.
Hopefully I don't keep anything in my car anymore but it's it's for the first little bit there. It's just any noise I heard I was rushing outside of my car. I was just so anxious and paranoid and frightened and you feel violated because someone's entered your personal space and gone through your property and taken stuff and although it doesn't compare to what you experienced. You know when I was a kid I remember in Washington state my family and I we went on vacation and we didn't have a garage door like you do today.
It was just kind of you pull up and it didn't have a lock on it. So even though the garage door was closed we came back and we found out the one the neighborhood kids had broken into our garage and stolen a BMX bike and you know we ended up recovering the the tires we knew that it was him. There was no way we could prove it. We knew that it was him.
He bragged about it to other kids but it's like it's it's violating even when I was a little kid. It's like I felt that like it I felt like you know my house is a safe spot and no one should be able to go in there or do anything and you know we got back home and and that was the worst case scenario. I'm sure that they probably stole a few other things in the garage but I remember the BMX bike was the big thing and yeah it was uh it was tough you know it's on an emotional level because you like I said you just feel violated. You feel like someone's gotten into your inner sanctum and entered somewhere they shouldn't be.
It should have been. And that's I'm almost positive that's how the people that we helped feel when they're dealing with spirits because you have a spirit in your home it's invading your personal space. Like I can totally understand how these people feel. It's an uninvited guest.
And it's just like it's without having someone to talk to or wait a bit of coping with it. It can be very difficult. I mean like I was also on vacation like I would so I wasn't even going back and working to have something to stack my mind. I was sitting at home for a week just in my own head just thinking like what if I did this differently or if I had done this differently or you know like what what I could have done to stop this from happening and and um.
But like you said even when people are experiencing paranormal phenomenon in their house you know they know that it's there they can't see it they don't know how to get rid of it but oftentimes it is emotionally and physically and mentally draining because that's you know our bodies were made of energy and we give off that energy and they use that energy to help manifest themselves and and they use that especially the negative entities to to project their uh you know what they do and to make to slowly make your life a living hell. And so yeah I could understand how they would feel too. I've never personally lived in a house that was haunted but I could only imagine how difficult that would be having to put up that day in and day how knowing that something was there that you didn't want there and not knowing how to get rid of it and how to cure it. Like being afraid to go to sleep in your own house like yeah right like me was just they went through my car they didn't actually come into the house or anything like that but still like I can understand how people feel when they're dealing with spirits in their home it's just like you can't see it you don't know when or where they're what they're going to do.
You know I can only imagine how terrified people are just to lay down and close their eyes because they don't know what's going to happen and that's why we do what we do is we want to help these people feel comfortable and safe in their own homes. Now on a side note too if you feel like you have an entity in your home I would hesitate investigating your own home. You know call someone else call someone that can do it for you I think when you investigate your home you're not only opening up that that doorway for more activity but you might not always be happy with the results that you find maybe it's not really haunted you know I don't know maybe it really is and you weren't expecting that and that could be really off putting too. So if you have if you have a feeling that that something is there and you've been experiencing strange things you know call call professional.
Wisps. And I know a lot of people I've heard this over years. Yes it's not working. I've heard this over the years and a lot of people have asked what's the difference between them investigating their own home and someone like us coming in and investigating the home.
So what is the difference? Well first we've had a lot of training and experience with dealing with spirits. We also have people on our team that we work with that can see and hear the spirits people that are gifted that can help spirits cause over if they need we know different techniques to use. We have scientific equipment that we use to help get these readings and measurements.
And to you know show whether or not there's actually spirit in the house and then we have different practices that we do. Whether it be priesthood blessing or just like a cleansing little cleansing ritual that we do to remove the spirit from the home and then try to keep them from coming back. Now I know a lot of people you hear about Sage and I'm all for Sage I use Sage myself when I'm cleansing. The thing with Sage is is I don't think people realize that it's not an end all be all the things it's not the permanent fix.
Sage is kind of like a band-aid if you will. I'm not saying Sage don't Sage. Just you got to realize that like just staging your house once isn't going to keep something out forever. Because once that that smell dissipates once that Sage is cleared up that it's not going to be there anymore to keep that entity from coming back.
They can come back. Yeah. So that's why we do things like some things we do is like priesthood blessings where we have someone bless the home or sometimes we're in members of the church's house and they bless their own home after we've got the spirit out. But that's another thing too is that you know we can only do so much.
It's kind of like building a bridge. You got to meet in the middle. If take for example we investigated a house in 2-wheel a couple years ago and the young man he was a father in the family and I'm sure I've talked about this before. He had been using Ouija boards since the young age and you know for us to go in there and do our thing and to try to cleanse the house.
It was also like putting on a band aid. Even though we're doing our full routine to get everything negative out he's still there and all he has to do is just invite it back in. So you kind of have to meet us halfway. If you're doing things in your life that are inviting this negative energy into your house you need to take steps on your run to help change that.
We can help come in and meet you in the middle and get rid of everything but without making those personal changes you're only going to invite things back in. You know a lot of times we go to some house. If we know it's a more negative entity that's causing problems we don't do a whole lot of investigating we just kind of figure out what we can do to get it to leave the house and then keep it from coming back. And part of that is like what you said is the homeowners meeting us halfway.
We kind of give you instructions if you will on things you can do to help keep that from coming back in your house and bringing that positive energy in your home whether it be like lighting candles or incense daily or even playing like hymns religious music or something you know doesn't have to be you know churchy music even like you know monk chanting or something like that. It's uplifting positive music. Something that brings that positive energy like my go-to song and I tell people laughing when I say this but what am I go-to positive songs because it's just hard to be in a bad mood when you listen to it. It's in black metal isn't it.
It's uh black Sabbath. Oh not really. It's actually it's actually uh can't stop the feeling by Justin Timberlake. It's just one of those upbeat like it's it's got a good vibe to it.
I mean it's you know people might not like listening to Justin Timberlake or whatever but we all have our own guilty pleasures and I can respect that. It's just one or it's like the Fraggorock theme song. It's just so positive. You know now I've got the Fraggorock theme song dancing cares away right.
Let the music play. Right. We're always for another day. You know it's just it's hard to be in a bad mood when you listen to music like that and that type of attitude and positivity is going to help keep those things out of your house when it comes to negative entities.
Now if it's a positive entity if it's like a family member you don't always want them gone. Sometimes they're just watching already and making sure that you're okay and that you're safe and that you're happy and yeah and it's all about just kind of realizing and knowing what's in your house and what you can do to make the best of the situation. Now I mentioned too that I've never really experienced paranormal hauntings. That's not necessarily true because in the past I did work as a funeral director and there was a time where I was told that there were several entities that were in my house but they were all not necessarily negative.
They were just there because they'd followed me home from the funeral home and they were just there to kind of poke around and see what was happening and you know most of them did leave but I remember I have a photograph of me. I took a photo of my family on Christmas morning and all my kids are sitting around the Christmas tree opening at the presents but in the corner of the photo you can see an orb and now Peaches who's a member of our group as well she has paranormal psychic abilities where she can see spirits as if you know they're manifesting you know as if I was looking at someone you know right in front of me she can see those entities not only in person but also in videos and photographs and I remember she saw that photograph and started to describe the person that she saw and it was a young man that I had served his family just prior to Christmas he had been killed tragically in a motorcycle accident and the way that she described him I knew that was him I mean it was very distinct features he had shoulder length dreadlocks and you know just just things about him that she said I knew exactly who it was and he ended up leaving a short time later but I made a really good connection with the family and I felt like we did a really noble service for him and really made it very personable and touching and moving and so I think because I made that connection with the family he was able to trust me enough where he followed me home and just kind of wanted to hang out for a little while and and so yeah I knew that he was there for a little bit and that really didn't bother me and I know that he's moved on sense but he was kind of reassuring to know that someone that I helped was was there kind of watching over me too and I think that happens more often than not you know we I think most houses are usually haunted but it's maybe relatives or friends or family member that might have passed and they're just gonna check it in on you my stepdad it's been a little over a year since he passed away and I've had a couple people tell me that that that he's come and checked up on me and I know that my mom has had experiences where she's really felt his presence and so knowing that he's still kind of a part of our lives in a way it can be really reassuring so yeah I mean I guess the kind of point of the whole thing is like everyone expects hauntings to be like you see the movies where they're just chaotic and scary and and that's only a very small percentage of what we actually deal with most of it is most of it's more on the positive side it's reconnecting people with families and that's more rewarding than anything absolutely and I think a lot of that is people will you know they'll they'll get the the movement or they'll get the feelings or something that something's different or wrong and they they don't realize that it's just oftentimes that the spirits oftentimes the loved ones just trying to connect and be recognized and let them know that they're still there and we say this all the time too your body is probably the best paranormal instrument that you have you know tuning in with your body and kind of feeling you know feeling those emotions I think that's one of the best pieces of equipment that you can use and it took me a while to really kind of tap into that because I I've never felt like I've been a very sensitive and a pathic person but the last few years of investigating I've really been able to tap into that and so I I still have a long ways to go but I remember the last few investigations I did where I could really tune into my body and and feel that there was something there where there is good or bad so a lot of work to do still and I think that's a good thing for every investigator to learn how to do kind of being able to differentiate between the types of spirits and what you're dealing with because if you've got some that's out there running around just going like oh my gosh this is a demon everything's a demon they're all demons but on the flip side you don't want to just assume everything's positive either because that just kind of leaves you open you have to have a healthy dose of skepticism and you have to really kind of methodically break things down you know try to rule out anything logical first before you presume that it's just paranormal yeah so yeah um so speaking of movies speaking of movies actually I had an experience at Benson Grissomill last week oh really tell us about that so throughout the night we were kind of just caden and I were just kind of going wherever we were drawn to a torsion light we went over the barn and I had the barn and yes it was funny because like kid and I both have conversations with spirits and caden saying one thing I'm saying something else that has nothing to do with what caden's talking about and I just kept saying to caden I'm like dude this is weird because it's like we thought we were talking about saying guy and I'm just like he's telling you one thing and telling me something else because I remember sitting there saying I said that several times to caden and I remember at one point I'm sitting telling the spirit I'm like hey man I understand you're angry I get that you're upset and you want someone to fill how you fill but I don't want that so for those of you that may not have been a Benson Grissomill or don't know about it or you know live out of state or out of the country the barn is associated with there's a negative spirit that resides in there is yeah is it demonic or is it just a it's not human it's not human yeah give them a little background on what the Benson Grissomill is those that aren't familiar so it's a it's an old grain grain mill I believe here in Utah in Twilla area which is about an hour or if you look up online it's it's Tully it's spelled T-O-L-E yeah how do you get to all out of that I have no idea even my navigation can understand Tully but as soon as I said Tully it puffed right there it's actually Stansbury Park right it is but yeah it's you're looking at it it's in Stansbury but if you just do Benson Grissomill it'll pop up and the cool thing about their website is they actually have a 3D view of it so you can actually like kind of walk around the the middle and see what it looks like from their website there's an aerial view of that and it's actually really cool it was a pioneer camp from one understand and there's a couple different buildings there's there's two mills there's a big mill and there's a small mill and they go back to the 1880s or 1890s yeah it might even go back to the 1850s on the cabin there because there's a bunch of cabins there's a barn there the barn was actually built somewhere else it was deconstructed moved and reconstructed at Benson Grissomill area and a lot of the other cabins were there as a cabin I believe it was actually built on the land that's original and that's like right in the middle but as far as like oh and there's also like ruins behind I think all pioneer buildings that you still see some of the foundations and there's a schoolhouse in my office and all that stuff out there but so I'm talking to spirit and I like one of the things that I've come to realize over the past couple years is I am an emotional empath so I can feel other people's emotions as well as spirits emotions and it's like spirits have been able to pick up on this and they try to force those emotions on me sometimes and that's why I was like I understand that you're angry and you want somebody feel how you're feeling but I don't want that because the last thing I want to do in the middle of the United States was just feel angry for no reason so that to the point it was kind of getting late we decided to pack up so we went around locked up standing by our cars just kind of chatting a little bit right before we left and I felt someone come up and wrap their arm around my mind and I look and I turned to the spirit and I said look I don't know who you are I even ask Kate and I'm like do you know this is like no idea I'm like you're making me feel uncomfortable you weren't rubbing your butt up against them where you were I only did that family trick okay just make sure um so I was just like you're making me feel uncomfortable I'd appreciate if you step back I just kind of pushed my energy just kind of form a little barrier between me and him your personal space and I don't remember much um the conversation that happened before but from what Mark told me Mark was also there he said before I freaked out he was already reaching to put his hand on my shoulder but I heard a loud noise a really loud noise like I mean it was so loud like was it like a vocal noise it was like a popping noise popping noise that's the best way to describe it but that doesn't even feel like that's doing it justice okay but it was it was like a popping noise um when this happened it scared the crap out of me I jumped and just instantly like it kind of reminded me of the design building attack just things that I was afraid of just started running through my head and I said no Mark's got his hand on my shoulders yelling at it to leave me alone and knock it off and Kate and jump right into action and started pushing his energy to get the spirit away from me and that point I was just kind of like I think it's time to go home Mark say prayer let's go right and we got out of Dodge that's crazy and things like that Vincent Grissomile is normally tame and things like that don't normally happen there um I got home that night and it's like to actually it's like midnight because it kind of left a little early um but it takes Kate and I'm like why don't you get the feeling that I'm the only one who heard that noise and he's like because you were and so I started looking into a little bit I talked to some of the people that I work with at Synchronicity's and from what I can tell that's what it sounds like when a spirit or something invades your personal energy felt it tore my bubble basically wow and he was he was trying to make me feel his angry emotions I asked Peach's about it because she's super gifted she can actually trace our energies back to where we were and tell us exactly what happened it was a spirit named George that hung himself and he was pissed off about it and that's where it came in it's like that's how bad this spirit wanted me to feel his anger and anguish and all these emotions he had that he actually was able to find a way to tear my bubble and get in and I think the only reason why this was allowed to happen in the first place is because of the trauma that I went through with being robbed and I don't think I was fully mentally ready to be back on an investigation but at the same time I was trying not to let this incident completely ruin my life you had a weak link in the chain where he could break it and find a vulnerable spot so and it's comforting to know that it was just a human spirit it wasn't anything negative yeah but at the same time it also didn't put it into perspective for me and that it's just it's a learning experience basically like okay now you know this can happen and what it sounds like or what it feels like when it happens so you can better protect yourself against it in the future and I was actually talking for the other day I hate that so I hate the the saying everything happens for a reason I've come up with my own phrase and you can agree with me or disagree with me that's it is what it is I hate that I hate that with a passion it is for a reason yeah so it's only happens for what it is everything everything happens it is what happens um no I've I've I've I've tried to live a little bit more like this frame of mind everything's a learning experience so instead of just saying it happens everything happens for a reason this is a universe's plan uh why though like what can I learn from this what can I do to become a better person what can I do to grow from the situation so I I prefer saying everything is a learning experience so I was actually I'm kind of thankful for having that learning experience both with the robbery and the investigation well that's that is true though both negative and positive experiences they're they're meant to be lessons for us you know I think that there are a lot of bad things that have happened in my life where I look back and I'm like oh my gosh I realize why that happened now because it's made me a smarter person and made me more wise not to do the same thing and not to go down that same path so that makes sense I also did some energy work on myself that night before too before starting the investigation I thought this was really cool because I had asked actually Caden to help me with this and we were set up at one of the picnic tables and he was standing across from me on the other side of the table I let them in since my crystals out was kind of just kind of calming my mind kind of trying to ground myself center myself and at one point I could tell Caden had went and stood behind me and started doing some energy work with me like I do with people that I help and then as we're going like I could feel the energy like going through my head to my shoulders kind of down from my back and out like like it would if I was doing work on you and you know I could feel Caden doing all of this until I heard him laugh about 10 to 15 feet behind me um I realized he was with the rest of the group at this point and there was actually nobody standing behind me doing this um no one living anyways but I could actually feel the energy like like I literally felt like a weight drop off my shoulders I literally felt the energy just kind of being pushed on my body and the whole time was going on I thought I was Caden I talked to him about it after the fact and I'm like dude yeah I thought you were right there and he's like no he's like I went to do it and he's like someone came up with my shoulder and said I got this and so Caden went on his way so I had like a spirit guide or something and someone came up and actually started with the and doing energy cleansing with me which is a really neat experience I've not actually gone through something like that before it was actually kind of cool interesting so that's one of the things I'm actually going to be focusing on more in the future I'm trying to get myself to the point to where I'm going to be focusing more on doing energy work I'll still be doing investigations like that working with WISF and whatnot but I'm going to be focusing more on the energy work side of things so I'm actually in talks with a of any right now about possibly renting a space once a week and doing energy healings for people nothing's official set up but that's kind of the direction I'm taking right now but yeah I'm obviously still a part of WISPs and all that still doing investigations but I'm going to be focusing on that aspect you're diversifying yes yeah on that the Benson Grissmill that is such a great venue and advanced paranormal services will be having an investigation out there probably the spring or early summer we'll plan on doing that and if you've never been there it is it is one of the really neat venues in the state it really is I mean it's a great if you've never done investigation especially it's a great venue to kind of cut your tea fun there's always activity there's always a lot of activity there's a mixed bag whatever you can find and there's certain areas where the negative entities tend to hang out so I mean it's relatively safe you can go to different parts of the venue and have really cool experiences and then if you want to delve into something a little more hardcore you know we can also direct you where to go there but it's a great venue like I said it's a it's a beginner venue I think if you've never done investigation before highly recommend getting tickets and come to the venue it's a beginner but you can go anywhere from beginner we've never done this where we'll have guides to help you show you the different things up to go out with you and another friend into some pretty some pretty dark areas and and investigate but it gives you a wide range of opportunities but we'll plan to be out there again early this next summer yeah I've been several times and I've never been disappointed I've had you know all kinds of experience from good to bad to dark and you know it's just it really has a great venue so highly recommend going to uh it's wisp no it's a advanced advanced paranormal.com is where we've got that and in fact we have an events page out there and speaking of that we actually have an event coming up on October 10th in argan at the leavant cemetery yeah that's oh man that is also another great place it's gonna be great so be looking out there leave tickets or 25 dollars plus the price right right you know so it and taxes so it gets up right around 30 is that a Saturday night saturday night I might have to make an appearance there that I would love to return we had we had really cool experiences last time we were there too so it's been a while I think I might actually come to this one as well yeah um I don't know if I'll be leading a group or not but I definitely will be there yeah so you can come on out it's gonna be a great it's gonna be a great investigation and you know we're getting close to halloween time we didn't want to get it too close to halloween to give us a little bit of a little bit of leeway in between some other things so that people can do their their trick or treating in halloween and those kinds of things but um we're looking forward to a really great investigation it's him you stand out like a sore thumb so even people that haven't seen you you're like what seven foot two and you know pounds or something if I wish I was that tall I'm six five and about three hundred years he is he's this is a big hurt furry huggy wookie well up until yesterday because it's Halloween time I changed my profile picture to my normal oogie boogie um and my cover sheet thing the jack's kellington but my profile picture and my my uh my cover photo for the last two buckets both of them is the profile picture was with me to a bakah like two years ago that's funny and then the other one was with me to bakah last year and I have to say the chubaka that wand is around galaxy's edge I know it's not open right now but when it does open go galaxy's answer the chubaka there's way cooler he actually kidnapped me and walked me halfway through the stars it was kind of cool so that's awesome um yeah go go to that investigation it's it's a place that we haven't actually held investigation at before but we've been there um we went as a group with a radio run in a few years ago and they were the ones that kind of put on and produced the investigation and it was just an incredible experience there's sixty acres out there I mean it's it's a big area and we'll invite up into groups and and have a great time out there so yeah now that we're a half hour in so movie so i know the segue is the segue is dead now but we had the perfect segue earlier we did i wrote it so that's all right i do that i'm gonna be a killer we watched a movie this we did watch a movie we watched insidious yes and uh you know i've seen it many times i have a feeling i was feeling i was just gonna say i have a feeling this is going to be kind of a point counterpoint discussion because uh i'm gonna play the devil's advocate that's totally fine i was a little i watched i listened to a watch mojo on youtube on the way here and they pit um insidious versus the conjuring and they have like five-room categories the overall winner according to them was the conjuring and as some of the stuff that they're saying about insidious i was just like i wanted to yell at my phone because i'm like no no no you guys are wrong on this so i'm serious it's in my opinion and i can already tell by the looking face um you're not gonna get a bigger than this i think it's a fantastic movie i love this movie yeah i have all four of the movies and i love the way that they tie them all together um but not everyone agrees with me on this uh i found out um but the movie starts out where you've got this family that's that's moved into a home you've got the father josh that's it's patrick wilson he played uh ed ed warren ed warren in the country i'm like i recognize him so he's kind of typecast i think for that role for like paranormal films because you know i think of him and yeah and actually i think of his role in the conjuring with you know and one he's a demonologist the other one he's a non-believer so yeah um so you've got him uh i don't know the actress's name but you got the wife or nay who uh josh is a school teacher by the way the wife or nay is uh stay at home mom she's a music yeah um and try to put me and stuff together i'll admit it started out strong you know for the first five 10 15 minutes i thought it started out really strong you get this sense that you know something's not right that that there's something to miss there's things that are getting knocked out of place and things that you know it really builds it up where you know that something's gonna happen but i think after that it really went downhill in my opinion and i'm gonna disagree with the other one i'm much fine um so some of the things that you notice at the first is like uh rene's putting books up in her bookshelf because they're moving into the house they're in the process of unpacking at one point they're going through uh photobook the the mom and the oldest on dalton they can't and that basically there's two other kids there's the baby callee and then there's other some uh foster foster and they kind of disappear later in the movie um it's like they're not interested yeah i would kind of get them out of the situation i yeah i agree but if i were in that situation they wouldn't be in there with what was going on maybe they went to a sitter or to grandma grandpa's house you know so yeah they really did they built the presence in the beginning but then i noticed that they were gone yeah they didn't explain it so yeah they could have explained it with a line or two yeah oh they're over at grandma's house or whatever there was nothing so evil uncle earning or something i mean i mean i mean i mean i mean i mean i mean i is there back story like for another time hip-hop wizard hip-hop wizard oh okay uh so yeah so like the books like uh she's cleaning up after the kids go to school or whatever the books are on the ground but not the books and she's like hey can you not play my books or whatever my entire books mom so just it starts out really subtle like that and i think that's great because that's really the way that a real you know if you're going to a typical you know demonic possession type of house you know true haunting with poltergeist activity you're gonna have little things like that it's not gonna be in your face you know with like full figure apparitions but things are moved and just subtle hints to say like hey i'm here give me attention like her box of sheet music she couldn't find everything she couldn't find that particular box of sheet music was they later find in the attic after their son goes upstairs to the attic was playing on a ladder step broken he fell and heard himself and i think that's when he found the sheet music she went up there later so it's just little subtle things like that things just being knocked off or moved in this place and then it goes to the next day the sun fell asleep and they go to wake him up he never woke up and basically it cuts to a scene in the hospital the doctors explaining i've never seen anything like this your your son's in a coma no he's not in a coma but he's experiencing coma like symptoms where he's not we're not asleep he's not responding and so they keep in there for a little bit of tests but eventually moving back into the home and it's literally just like it cuts from a hospital to three months later yep they're setting up a hospice type thing that a nurse in their show how to do the food to me and uh i think it gets to the point where the the other son um he's like asking his mom at one point he's like can i switch rooms he doesn't feel comfortable in his room anymore and she's she when she asks why it's because she doesn't like when Dalton gets up and walks in the middle of the night yeah and that kind of freaks her out a little bit because this kid's like comatose and there's there's a scene even where the mom is downstairs it's probably the middle of the day she's practicing her music and she's got a baby monitor and so she can listen to her little daughter sleeping and suddenly on the monitor she starts to hear you know whisperings of like a man's voice so she starts going upstairs and and hold the baby monitor ear and as she gets close towards the door you know this this whispering turns into a shout so she opens up the door and of course no one's there and the daughter's crying and uh so i think that's kind of like the real moment where she's like i know that there's something happening where it's not just something that can be explained but there's something that's really happening and it's not normal it's paranormal and and she realizes this but the husband is like he's so kind of absent at this point like he's not dealing with the stress of his kid being in this comical stay in a school yeah he's staying later and later each night not coming home fun Easter egg if you notice one of the nights he's at school you can actually see the face of the jigsaw doll drawn on the chocolate ice um the guy that directed in city sauso did the samavis um but yeah he's he's coming home later and later at night and it was the the one night while he's staying at the school um she i think she heard noises or something in the kids room and she went to go check on him and she lifts up the sheet and she sees this red hand print on the bed sheet and a lot of people initially you think it's blood um okay now before you say anything else i know that hollywood tends to glamorize things and seeing a red hand print like that uh it's something that you just wouldn't encounter i mean there's certain things in the movie you know we'll get to them as we as we you know get to those certain beats in the movie but there were that was one of the things that put me off was like you know this is just for dramatic places clear cut way too clear cut the the hand is nice and clean and it looks like blood and it's got these long pointed you know nails on it like a you know beast claw so yeah i would have thought if there'd just been some blood or an inference of a hand print something yeah i mean i think they could have done that better i thought they did a lot of things really well in the movie as far as those kinds of things so i won't i won't reveal quite yet what that actually i mean the hand print is actually lipstick it's not blood and we'll cover that here in just a little bit when we kind of talk more about what caused it so she uses that like she she's arguing with the the husband about him not being home and and she's like i think the house is haunted we need to move and he's like no no it's not haunted and she's like he how do you explain this and throws it she that him and walks away and that's when he sees the hand print on the sheet i think i mean there was other stuff that happened there was the uh i think it might have been that same night or like the next night um she's hearing some noise or something in the baby's room uh she sees a child running down the hall and here's giggling and uh disembodied voices and laughter and and kind of follows it around and and at one point she does see a full body apparition and it's a little child dressed in like 1930s that's in the next song is it yeah this afternoon so before they moved sorry before they moved there was the night where um like the the alarm went on well the baby was crying they go to check on the baby and while they're checking on the baby the alarm goes off so the husband runs downstairs or Josh runs downstairs to check on the alarm the door is wide open um so he like he's just the door we set the alarm um while he's doing all that uh Renee sees that dude with the long black hair standing in the curtains in the baby's room yeah alles cooper um he was feeding his Frankenstein um but yeah so while he's like checking to see who's outside in that um the like i said the door is wide open and he you know closes we see the alarm she sees the guy and then i think that was the final straw that was like okay we're moving and then well the alarm goes off again and the door is wide open again and they put the latch on it you can put the latch on it chain latch yep and you can see the latch kind of swinging a little bit there's no one outside no one inside of course so that's i think that was the point where he thought okay maybe my wife's not crazy maybe we should move and of course they do move they move into a new house they're gonna get away from the problems and which is always the answer oh it's always the answer just move just find your house yeah so um wrong if you couldn't pick up on the sarcasm there it's not the end i give one person a few listens to this might not appreciate that but i have a client that i was working with it he thought things got so bad he actually moved yeah it's trying to sell so i actually can't and i lived out of this work i did live or not live i used to play in a band in Boise when i was young and one of the guys in our band he had they lived in a haunted home and there was all kinds of photos there's the dogs dogs are going crazy there was all kinds of activity that they experienced in the home and so at one point they did actually move thinking like you know we're gonna get away from it and whatever it was just follow them and that's you know that's probably what happens in most scenarios and it does work in chungus case shungus tells us already run in his house was haunted and they moved and they haven't had any problems in their house um so it's it's it can help it can be just the spirits are tested land but unfortunately in this situation it wasn't it wasn't um that's when you get into like it's like right off the bat when they first move the house you know the garbage and that's when she hears a disembodied laughter and and here's child laughing and sees him running down the hall into the daughter's room so she of course she follows it looks in the room looks behind the door she looks at the closet there's no one in there then she hears it in the opposite room and goes into the room sees a pair of shoes poking off from underneath the the curtains and uh of a cupboard so she goes to open it up and a little boy jumps out and of course it's a spirit that knocks her down and runs out the room laughing and he's dressed in 1930s era you know clothing with the flat cap and knickers and all that pretty good a pretty good fun scare though pretty good jump they they had a few jump scares unfortunately the thing that i noticed too was that it was almost predictable the jump scares you know the they build it up where there is you know ominous music and then slowly it gets quiet and quiet and then silent and then of course that's when the jumpscare happens so yeah i expected it because i knew the formula you know you hear a sense slam of off-court keys on a piano oh the spirit jumped out from behind the wall and i'm so scared the build up to it though i mean like it was kind of predictable predictable but it's build up to it if you're not paying attention you kind of miss it though because when she first walks out the back door to take the garbage out and she's walking to the kitchen it kind of shows the inside of the house and there's the the colerack um if you're if you're not really paying attention you can actually see the boy standing next to the car facing the wall yeah um that's what she notices too because she's looking through the window from outside and the the windows are open and the curtains are blowing before that when she's walking by before she notices uh i think what caught her attention was the music had changed to something of like the 1930s song yeah so through the tulips tiny tim yeah that song is kind of creepy and i don't know if tiny tim was the original on that or if there was an earlier 20 or 30s version of that it was probably a remake but uh yeah i associate tiny tim with that song too but yeah it's it's before even before the music even happened you can see the boy just standing there facing the wall and then you hear him running down the hall and all that stuff i think there was like a couple girls like twin sisters or something i saw i don't know there's something there were there were several entities attached to uh what was going on in the residence and they play in later too they do if you know this the kind of these in the house at this point played in later in the in the movie yeah they they kind of illustrate why why these are around and uh yeah it kind of makes sense it kind of explains itself so they get to the point where the jotch's mom calls at least yeah this was again just a real turning point for me in the movie because you know it's as someone on the who does this who does investigations you have these two nerds come out and they do like i thought i was in talker oh there he is i love co-op okay so so raven did say you know of all the things that she did want to share with this is she did not like the way that the that the ghost paranormal investigators were portrayed i would have to agree with that too because you know that they they had good personalities they did provide a little bit of comic relief you know they they took themselves very seriously but one of the guys you know he talked about how he builds his own paranormal equipment and he's getting all nerdy and he's like i got to try field meter that's going to detect you know d c currents and and this and it's literally i'm looking at it it's literally like a 1970s toy gun from star wars a han solo blaster that he's got all kinds of equipment attached to uh you know meters and gauges and stuff but i'm like it's it's a freaking star wars blaster gun so he's he's got his own equipment which you know isn't too far stretched i've built my own equipment before i've made a electromagnetic generator which is you know electromagnetic uh device and the theory behind that is that you use electromagnetism to put uh energy in the air which the spirits will kind of use like a food in a way to yeah battery to charge and to manifest themselves so that's not too far fetch well the one thing i want to i want to actually try myself um i don't know if this is actually works but you have one of those like viewfinder viewfinder viewfinder that was great the viewfinder with the different colors that uh it's supposed to help you in theory according to the movie helps you see different planes that this might exist on in his arsenal of tools that he used these homemade equipment and vices that he's made he has this uh jury rig viewfinder and he puts in a disc and the disc is literally just different colored colored films and so as he flips through the films of the viewfinder uh apparently he can see different spectrums the infrared and uv spectrum and stuff like that so he's he's flipping through and of course gets to the third frame and boom there's you know two twins i again just one of those moments where it's like i felt that was too predictable i knew that was gonna happen but see you look at it that way and i look at it it's like i wonder if that actually works i like i literally look at brandy and i'm like i wonder if i could do that um give it a shot tested out because i've actually seen in my viewfinder and i know one of uh i believe it was one of dawns sons it was on the team when i first joined long time ago and we were actually watching the viewfinder on one of my infrared cameras and we both saw someone walking through the kitchen of family tree it didn't come on the film like when i went back watch recording it was in there but we actually did see it on the viewfinder we watched well she when i when i get home now i'm gonna go to ebay i'm gonna find a cheap viewfinder i'm gonna make my own paranormal investigation equipment to uh to see these different light spectrums and see if having a different hue of film will allow me to see the paranormal better so yeah i mean they they did have her go in dalton's room and she described what she saw yeah that's when they drew what becomes known as i don't think i actually say it in the movie but it's become known as the lipstick face treatment so what happens is these two paranormal investigators they're kind of like the precursor they they test the water they investigate first to see if it's a legit case and to quote-unquote weed out the crazies as they say so uh one of them you know has this experience the viewfinder and he's like yeah let's call Elise is that her name so Elise she's the the psychic she shows up now i've watched uh detroit rock city which is a film about uh four guys that are trying to make it to a kiss concert and she played the mom of one of the guys so to me i see her and i think of that wacky character that she played detroit rock detroit rock city as this very conservative mom that listens to the carpenters and hates kiss but she was the the you know the the psychic that came in but the other person that could have played that would have been jane lynch but this is where it really got hokey for me was when she starts explaining what's going on you know your son he's he's in he's he's uh an astral plane projector he can leave his body and he can go to another place and it's called the further which oh spooky putting a name on it like that oh the further i do kind of agree with you that but at the same time it's like astral projections a real thing it is a real thing that's happening i was just gonna think it's like she doesn't have a name for it she doesn't want to call that so you can just say that he's he's gone to you know a different dimension an ethereal plane where he's he's no longer in his physical body he's just projected himself somewhere and i think that would have been better than giving it this name the further it sounds so dark and ominous it's the the plane where all the haunted souls live out there their eternity and i don't know it's like giving you know the force of the medicloreans it's something tangible that kind of takes away from the magic when you put it that way i can see your point because i thought the medicloreans was stupid too it was i mean it kind of i don't know i i i can i i i can see your point where it's like in signs where they actually show the aliens it takes away from it i actually i thought they did that really well not to get off on a tangent but i i know their art signs is really criticized a lot but i actually enjoyed that movie by enochon but it's it's kind of like what they said in the watch mode a video that i was listening to um it does it does kind of ruin it when you're you're just you're showing so much um because it's the unknown is yeah in my opinion is more scary than just okay here it is absolutely so leave a little bit to the viewers imagination so yeah she did go in the room and describe what she was seeing in the corner and of course the one that i was drawn to her and he's drawing out what she's saying of course he's just he's pulling out you know just charcoal pencils and he's scribbling a mile hundred miles an hour and he's got you know red and black and then the papers flying and everything and then the the my wife goes over and looks at the the image that he's drawing and it's a of course it's a dark demonic entity with glowing red eyes in the corner and the funny thing is is it's after after the fact they kind of they're looking at some of the pictures on his wall and stuff that the kid drew and yeah he'd actually draw on the same thing that's the thing but that's the thing is that they would have had to have put those up themselves in the new house like the kid the kid oh no you're right he was in a coma but you know that was again that was one of those things that i found a little bit unrealistic it's it's totally drama like totally ruining no i well i told you i was gonna play the devil's advocate but it's like you know the dad i like agreeing with you on some of this the dad he's skeptical oh this you know he kicks him out of the house this this can't be real my son's not really on an astral plane somewhere and so the very next scene of course he's in the son's room and he's he's worried about his son he turns around he looks at the wall and he starts seeing all the little crayon drawings that his son is done of of a man with fire for his face and there's another one where the red door and a black entity and then he sees a drawing that his son did where he says i last night i saw myself sleeping and then i flew away and you know he'd seen it before a hundred times but now in that context he realized oh she was right he he has an astral projector he saw himself sleeping from outside of his body and then he flew away so of course that one scene he goes 180 degrees and becomes a converter a convert to what she's saying so they end up bringing her back she comes back and and um part of this next scene i i like but some of the stuff is just like i don't understand the gas mask it's Hollywood it's drama they're basically doing like a little sand in the boys and the the psychic mask with a gas mask on and a dryer hose to the other guys headphones who's interpreting everything that she's saying because she's whispering it but he's saying it out loud and he's writing things down as he's saying it because he can hear the voice of the little boy as well and of course as it gets more you know intense his his writing you know gets faster and he starts writing bigger and bigger and it becomes more chaotic oh so it kind of reminds me of the same scene from the changeling but not as well done um what the thing i did enjoy during that scene is like the different they had different devices of the technical the scientific device is set up they could change that could sense the temperature change and just the energy change and it was flashing let him know that like okay something is happening um i believe what she was doing was actually channeling at that time that's why he was hearing the different voices writing the different thing down but i think they could have done it a little bit better um i think that the whole scene could have been done it it gets to the point where uh now all of a sudden Dalton's out of bed yeah and he walks over and i did like this and you probably don't like it as much as i did but they have him he pushes them he with his energy well he slams his hand down on the table and he goes flying yeah um you know it was a pretty intense seance scene too but like like you know Chad said it's it's uh it was dramatized it was Hollywood uh infused with Hollywood to make it you know something more than it was you brought up just a second to go to changeling with George C Scott yes love that movie great movie and there's there's no special effects no that was made in like the late 70s about 81 or 2 yes so wait a second or later no special effects and it's slow paced and it's spooky as hell it is it's a great hallowy movie i know ready to run in like i know for years ready to run and they would do their call in pick a scary smoothing for years the changing movie is number one yeah um but along that lines hollywood a lot of times has moved to the special effects yes the the i mean what the hell is this gas mask with this thing i mean it's less you had anything to the mood it did i think that could have been done differently what i did like like i said was the him slamming his hand down everyone goes flying and when they're watching the video later they actually like in one of the frames you can briefly see uh the entity the harness pulling back yeah the heart of the that basically it was showing that the end he was actually walking around and seeing me doing this basically yeah but the thing is is like we've actually encountered stuff like that i mean you and i have seen that at that salt there not to that extent not to that extent i mean she did scratch the shit out of my leg we got a tackle to the ground yep we saw it that fell that the uh lori each house um we've seen something like that actually happen yeah and that's that's what kind of gets me like like like like said the whole build up to that is kind of hokey the whole seance thing but the fact that the spirit was actually able to manipulate the kid's body and we could do things he wouldn't normally do possession is real that that and then shawn that the spirit was actually moving him around like kind of like a marion that we've actually experienced that so i mean that that particular scene kind of resonates with me because it's very really can happen it does have a problem not to that extent no it is capable of happening it has it has some truth in it which you know i i can i can respect so then the rest of the movie is kind of like me but i mean they they built the the reveal to josh that the reason why he doesn't have his picture taken is because he was able to do the astral project and he was a kid he had experience where and they they show him photos it's why he doesn't think photos is because there was uh an old lady that were in his photos and then as he grew up the lady got closer and closer like it was wanting to possess the dad josh so they they shut that down and you find out that uh at least yeah had actually visited his mom when he was a child because he went through the same things as his son he would have astral projections and and so he passed that that charade down to the sun and he repressed all those memories and i didn't think that was a bad plot we did this okay no that was good it was just kind of like the actual rescuing of the sun um getting getting the kid back that was cool it was just like and it was running through the further getting lost was it was at that point where the uh the the the psychic investigator put him into kind of a hypnotic trance and he left his body and went on a search for son on the astral point it was there that i started to really see a lot of similarities to like the original 1980s uh poltergeist where it's not necessarily the house that's haunted it's the child this time but a lot of the same beats kind of follow that where they they experience stuff they invite these investigators in who bring all kinds of equipment they've got the nerdy types and then you got your your psychic uh leader that comes in and she's kind of like the circus three ring leader and she tells she calls the shots and and tells the dad to you know go into the other dimension to go save caroland and stay away from the light and all that and goes to rescue the daughter and brings her back so like i would see a lot of carolands um and i mean i've a lot of the you're gonna hate this movie by the time i'm done no i'm not i'm gonna watch again um um but they they realize that the the lipstick face demon uh is actually trained up the kid yeah it's basically like so the theory is the longer the kid stays away from the body the easier it is for the spirit to inhabit the body the father Patrick welson he goes on the astral plane and he goes into the dark and he comes across a red door in the attic enters into it finds his son who's being locked in a ublia dungeon type place and in the other room in the you know doorway above the the room you can see the the red face lipstick demon and they cut to a scene where he's sharpening his claws on a giant grinder and i don't know it's so the whole the whole thing the reason why they say it's name punk i think i think they spend half their budget on the fog machine to be honest but yeah that's so the theory behind the the hand print um with the demon being the lipstick face demon because i think at one point like it shows i'm putting lipstick on um i don't remember i don't uh it's but basically the way they say the hand print was actually lipstick and that blood because that was just kind of an indication of how close the demon was getting to and happening the body um to be honest i was always interested so i was the whole point of the handprint i wasn't really paying that close attention at that point of film i have this bad habit of reading iamED.com while i'm watching movies yeah um so so that was the whole purpose of the handprint and i think the coolest part about the further isn't the fact that he found his son and runs home and they get back to the body d.a cool whatever i think the the most fascinating part of that is when he gets into he has been the old house the original house for adult and tells the son you'll go ahead i'm like and then that's not the uh the family that i'm assuming they're before yeah but it's just they're all still they they don't move but like you see the different like the whole scenario play out of how the daughter like he said murder the family and it's just that right there is probably the creepiest thing in the entire movie that's probably one of my favorite things is just how they did that one the rest of it is kind of like me it's kind of got a american horror story filled with and from that standpoint though with the family and the murder they kind of explained the haunting of that original house yeah i mean that there was something that had happened there that was terrible that they didn't really tell you about me go oh okay i i kind of get why bad stuff happens here and i kind of bought that part of it when i say that that idea that i think there's residual oh yeah energies from from terrible events and yeah absolutely i mean you watch shows like you know ghost adventures and that's one of the things that zach biggens says over and over is that there's residual energy when negative stuff happens in a building that energy gets you know absorbed by the walls and the wood and all of that and so it stays there and i think that when there's traumatic experiences like you know murders or suicides or something like that i think that's why a lot of that energy stays behind is it just gets really absorbed and you know they don't really know how to cross over at that point and it can't be released but it's got to be it can be yeah i mean it's not something like that happens in your home it doesn't mean that your home is going to be tainted forever yeah but at one point you know he's with his son and he tells his son to go ahead and he's right behind him i'm thinking you know you learn that from scooby-doo you never break up the group now it's like right running outside of his house like we'll never want it yeah you stay together well i mean i so just went out on an ask for a projection road trip go ahead son home and you're right there and it's like a go ahead i'll be there in a minute no you don't do that no but so i mean he um the reason why he did that is because he saw the old woman that's purchasing him since he was a kid yeah and he finally decides that he's gonna stand up to the spirit and he's gonna confront it and tell it i'm not afraid of you which is totally fine don't challenge the spirit but like that's basically what he's doing it's the way he did yeah he's kind of challenging the spirit um it's okay to not be afraid of a spirit but don't like it in his face about it either um but then so he's like he stands up to it and it looks like the spirit goes away he gets back in his body yay the world saved everyone's happy um hazah hazah they won um until at least is like talking to the dad about stuff that happened and he doesn't know he's the i don't need these photos anymore why don't you take them so she takes them she instantly just gets this feeling that something's not right so she pulls out the digital camera and starts snapping fingers flash right in the face right she's like why'd you do that she didn't say flash i mean come on um just took the camera right in his face took a photo with a flash i mean he gets to come up where he will and so she takes several pictures he gets angry at the four angry kills her yeah because that's what you do yeah um it sometimes takes a picture without you permission chokens death on your love seat on your lazy boy yeah that's exactly what you do when some take two pictures they don't say flash um so just remember if you don't have a situation you take pictures say flash or you might get strangled yeah um not really no but then it kind of they they cut to the mom one of the moms either his mom or his wife they come in finally dead in the chair i think it's uh the main i think it's the main mother not the mother of the the protagonist but his wife oh by the way spoilers um oh yeah if you haven't seen this movie that came out like 10 years ago um usually like four or five you know sequels we should we should add a little disclaimer before the episode yeah there's spoilers we're given with a whole plot and all the surprises and so then it kind of shows what happened was while she sang a pitch when she was handed the photos she saw the hand was like old and dirty that didn't look like Josh's hand so she took the pictures and you could see in the photos that it was actually the old woman and not Josh and then the final scene you know Josh goes and puts his hand on her shoulder and says hey baby you all right and she turns around and shrieks in terror and you don't know what's actually there and cuts to black and then you watch the second one and picks up right where that one left off and then i don't think i'll be watching the second one to be honest um i i can let you borrow it that's all right i have all four on blu-ray this is one of my favorite series um you know and to be honest go ahead yes i i love the insidious i love what they did with them i thought it's pretty good i love the second movie how it just picks right up and it's about them trying to get Josh back and then the third one is like a prequel it introduces at least in the investigators um and then the fourth one kind of the basically if you were to watch these orders in not a movie in the order that they took place like chronologically you'd watch three four one and two so yeah and in my honest opinion too it was on Netflix up until october first which was uh yesterday and uh i kind of wish i wish i watched on Netflix because i ended up renting it through red box and spent three dollars and i feel like i want my three dollars back all then i've been waiting i'm kidding it's just it was i thought i was rushing too because it was like who what kind of uh business in the right mind is going to take a scary halloween type movie off of their streaming service at the start of like when everyone's gonna be watching scary halloween yeah that's exactly right that's this is october this is the spooky month when you want to ramp up all the scary movies so i was a little surprised when i went to go watch it last night being the first of october and it was no longer there and i just seen it the day before but uh in if i had to rate it out of five stars i would honestly give it maybe two it's a no brainer i'm gonna be a little bit more generous than that i'm not gonna give it a full five stars um i would probably give it like like between three and a half and four okay i i i thoroughly enjoy this movie i love the whole series um it's it's the equivalent of like an action flick where you can just kind of shut off your mind and not really think too much and just enjoy the visuals and and there's you know it's very loose script and plot line don't think it don't don't overthink it that is that is the key mantra you should you should hold on to when you're watching this it's it's it's an overing so that's why you look at it i look at it i wonder if i can really do that does that really work i want to try this i am still gonna buy a viewfinder off ebay though so i'm gonna say so you got something out of it that'll be fun but you know i collect vintage toys too and it's something i don't have so hey if it doesn't work out then hey there's a little pet project i'll throw away that one disc with all the colored films in it but i'll have a viewfinder and i can play with it like i did when i was you know eight years old so it's a win-win but yeah astro protection real thing it is and it can be it can be tricky it can open you up for the possibility for something to jump in because like the movie says and maybe actually explain this to me as well at that point when you're so your spirit leaves your body you basically are just an empty vessel and i did like their explanation in there about that and where they said you know why are you seeing all these other entities and it's well they can smell that body that it's it's an empty vessel that it's there and it's it's attracting those other entities and i thought that was a good plausible explanation for that this is a talent that peaches you know the brandy does actually have where she's she's been able to increase her proficiency in her psychic abilities and it's something that she did maybe a year or two ago when i was on an investigation with another friend and she was able to astraly project herself there and tell me what was going on you know i took photographs and i i knew something was there as being very elusive but i didn't even tell her where i was i think i might have mentioned the the name of the city and she was just able to astraly project herself to me and kind of walk around the house so you know she's very good to be very talented and i thought it was a really cool experience that and if people want to kind of debate on whether or not it's an actual thing or if she can actually do that there's a house that don and i were in along with caden and some other investigators on bountiful um i just i was a folder was the city and she was able to tap into my energy and astraly protect there um this is how she'd never been in before and she was able to tell me the layout of the house like she's like going to this bedroom that's this you know she's like turned this direction she's like turn right going to the bedroom that's like your second one on the left like she was actually able to walk me through the house and tell me which ones to go into the same thing with that actually ever ever sitting foot in the house same thing with the house that i was at too it happened to be down the hill from a hospital and she knew that she said oh the spirit that's there he wandered down from the hospital just right up the hill and of course i looked out the back window and you could see the light from the hospital with the name of it and she wasn't even there she didn't even know that unless she had been there on the astral plane so pretty cool stuff so it is cool it is possible and it's something to not take like if it is something that you do um make sure that you take the right precautions to to ground yourself and don't do it alone like make sure someone else is in the room with you don't practice ghostbusting by yourself kids definitely not don't play with Ouija boards um so this episode is gonna be a little bit long but i don't know i know you know why don't i save my save for next time and you can talk about the crystals and i think that'll wrap things up i think um i think we'll just we'll kind of take the crystal for now okay well okay well i do want to follow up on the on the uh levitt cemetery investigation yes um tickets are available through event bright on houses lockdown or whatever because of covid and stuff like that emotions are high people are experiencing uh depression and other emotions just know that uh there are people out there that care about you reach out to a friend a family member talk to someone don't just keep this bottled up inside there are people that can help you whether it's you know like it's a friend or family there's also professionals that can help you through the situation um just just know that there are people out there that do care about you and want you around so just before you do anything drastic just open up to someone awesome no that's that's a good point to make to him i appreciate sharing that they're check on your friends you know even if they feel like they're they're doing fine or they say they're doing fine check on them and you know i think a lot of people are struggling out there so it's like robin williams when he passed i know they say that uh the saddest people usually put on the happiest of faces because they don't want to bring other people down so just you know reach out to someone if you get that inkling that someone might just need to hear from you give them a call send him a text
