Inspire Sunday // Fear of The Lord - Tobi Ford-Western

This sermon explores the true meaning of the fear of the Lord, showing that it is not a fear that drives us away from God, but one that draws us closer in awe, wonder, and joy. Through the story of Jesus calming the storm, it highlights how encountering God’s power and mercy leads to a deeper reverence that replaces all other fears. The message explains that when we grasp the magnitude of Jesus’ love - especially through the cross - we experience a “terrifying joy” that frees us from anxiety and brings lasting peace, calling us to trust, worship, and stand in awe of Him.
