Inspired Ink #78 - Javier Hernandez of Latino Comics Expo

We have Javier Hernandez with us this week! We talk about his road of making independent comics, how to have a convention that supports the artists, highlighting culture through art and so much more!  Javier Hernandez began publishing through his own imprint in 1998 with the debut issue of El Muerto the Aztec Zombie. In 2007 a film adaptation of El Muerto was released, for which Javier served as Associate Producer. In 2011 he co-founded the Latino Comics Expo, the nation's first comic convention dedicated to spotlighting the work of Latino creators in comics and related popular arts. Since 2003 he's been teaching comic book classes throughout Los Angeles and also lectures at museums and libraries about his career in comics.
