Wendy Shew is the founder of a for-purpose organization, "Building Education", that serves to alleviate poverty in developing countries by inspiring, educating and empowering. In collaborating with the government, partner organizations and local schools The Building Education Organization aims to transform rural villages into prosperous, dignified communities. Building Education is a 501c3 organization that provides funding for education to children of developing countries in an effort to end poverty as well. The vision is to "transform the lives that touch these projects, changing the way that we see ourselves in the world, creating leaders in the community and developing villages by uplifting the lives of others."
