Instant Reaction: Freshmen step up against CCSU

The Miami Hurricanes cruised to a comfortable 69-0 win over FCS opponent Central Connecticut State on Saturday afternoon. CCSU was certainly an overmatched opponent, but there was plenty to take away from the game. The main takeaway? The freshmen had an opportunity to show what they can do and they made plays. Freshman quarterbacks Tyler Van Dyke and Jake Garcia were both steady with distributing the ball.All three of UM’s freshman receivers generated impressive touchdowns. Safety James Williams made his first start and earned UM’s only turnover. Check out the latest podcast.
