It wasn’t pretty, but the four points are coming home with the Hawks after their comfortable 50 point win against a pretty hopeless Eagles side under the roof at Marvel Stadium on Sunday evening. Danny and Daz caught up to go through the good and the bad to come from the hit out, as the Hawks move to 5-2 for the season after seven rounds. 🗣️ Key talking points: * The execution being off and what may have caused it; * Beating an Eagles outfit that might have been a better match up for Box Hill than Hawthorn; * Kicking for goal at one end of Marvel compared to the other; * The young midfielders who stepped up with Will Day and Conor Nash missing; * Lord Meek; * Hawthorn’s key forwards - Mabior Chol and Jack Gunston and their impressive past couple of weeks; * The downer from the game - concussion injuries to Jack Scrimshaw and Karl Amon; * The opportunity that knocks for a quick recall for Fin Maginness and Changkouth Jiath after their impressive performances at Box Hill; * And plenty more… Thank you for your ongoing support of Hawks Insiders.
