Insulting Your Neighbor Proves You Need a Savior! (Matthew 5:17-26)

Did Jesus have an issue with the Old Testament or not? Can you be saved by obedience to the law or is there another way? Jesus is on the warpath in the sermon on the mount to prove that no one is righteous enough for the kingdom, that all need rescue, and his first proof is our penchant to insult and venomously ridicule people made in the image of God. It leads people into violent sin and eternal judgement. It's convicting, but, I hope and pray that it shows you your need for Jesus!
