In this podcast, Karen Culver, an MA student in the Cultural Heritage Studies Programme,  talks to her tutor, Professor Gabor Soos about the UNESCO 2003 Convention on Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH);  what it is; how the Convention works, and how communities that hold the heritage are involved.This is the first of a short series in which Karen looks at the challenges faced by the Convention; the relationship between UNESCO and the community that holds the heritage, and what a community might gain from listing their heritage with UNESCO.
