Trained at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, Dr. Contractor spent over a decade at Kaiser Permanente, where she helped launch the Teen Intensive Outpatient Program and championed comprehensive trauma services for youth. Inspired by her grandfather’s medical practice in India—and her great uncle, who served as Mahatma Gandhi’s personal physician—she carries forward a legacy of patient-centered care. Her own healing journey through chronic illness led her to pursue fellowships in Integrative Psychiatry, Psychedelic Psychotherapy, and Dr. Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry.
