Today marks World Intellectual Property Day. In South Africa it comes at a time where fashion brand MaXhosa by Laduma Ngxokolo has filed a legal action against global clothing giant Zara after it allegedly stole a signature design. A pack of socks by Zara emerged on social media earlier this week bearing a similar print to that of MaXhosa, modern Xhosa-inspired knitwear collection.
