Intentionally Choosing Children Part 2 with Jacqueline Baird

Send us a textHi!I’m Karen Hall, Host of The Hero Within Podcast.Today our guest Jacqueline Baird continues her colorful journey to motherhood as she and her husband, Josh, intentionally chose children again and again throughout their marriage, despite the many sacrifices they both made.  If you haven't heard Part 1, click here to listen to the first part of their story, starting with their love story and desire to have several children.  Today in Part 2, Jacqueline continues sharing the unexpected twists and turns,  heartbreak and trauma, as well miracles and how these experiences impacted her and her husband in their marriage.  She shares how they each grieved differently and it led to some conflict that they had to work through.  At times, they weren't on the same page regarding children, as they previously had been. But as they focused on their blessings, they grew in gratitude towards parenting and this helped them gain perspective during the normal annoyances in family life.  Despite all the struggles, they grew closer and more unified.  Their love for each other deepened and they knew that family is what life is all about and they were willing to make additional sacrifices.  Jacqueline explains how having children was their number one goal and it's what brought them joy in this life.   Eventually, they exhausted all options and they turned to surrogacy in hopes of adding another child to their family.
