Episode 197 of InterBrews was recorded at THE best craft beer bar in all of Texas, Thistle Draftshop. Owner Mary Thorn organized this episode and it includes some of the brightest minds in Houston’s craft beer community. Sitting around the big Texas shaped table today was Southern Yankee Beer Company’s Head Brewer Sydney Porter, 4J Brewing founder and Head Brewer Jennifer Edwards, 8th Wonder Brewing’s Quality Assurance Manager Claire Winder, Owner and Founder of Beer & Body Craft Beer Girls Kate Christensen, Southern Star Brewing and Brazos Valley Brewing and Houston Girls Pint Out co-administrator Gale Courtney and Saint Arnold Brewing Lab Technician Jessie Smith. The focus of the conversation was to highlight The Pink Boots Society and the brilliant women in Houston’s craft beer community. We sampled the Pink Boots collaboration beer that was brewed at Real Ale Brewing during the PBS conference. Also, discussed is the upcoming collaboration brew at Eureka Heights Brewing, Houston Girls Pint Out events and the serious beer knowledge and the beer fueled silliness that comes with every episode of InterBrews.
