INTERCEDING FOR OTHERS!

from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix

Scripture: “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.” — 1 Timothy 2:1 (NKJV) Message: Intercessory prayer is a powerful way to reflect God’s love by lifting up others in prayer. In 1 Timothy 2:1, Paul urges believers to pray for all people, showing that prayer is not just about our personal needs but also about standing in the gap for others. When we intercede, we partner with God’s heart, seeking His mercy, guidance, healing, and salvation for others. This includes praying for our families, friends, leaders, and even those who may oppose us. Our prayers can make a difference in people’s lives, opening doors for God’s grace to work in their situations. Jesus Himself is our greatest example of an intercessor, praying for His disciples and even for those who crucified Him (Luke 23:34). When we intercede, we reflect His love and compassion, trusting that God hears and answers according to His will. Today, ask yourself: Do I intentionally pray for others, or do my prayers focus mostly on myself? Who in my life needs prayer right now? How can I develop a habit of interceding regularly for those around me? Prayer: Almighty Father, thank You for the privilege of prayer. Help me to be faithful in interceding for others, lifting up their needs before You. Give me a heart of compassion and a burden to pray for my family, friends, leaders, and even those who are difficult to love. May my prayers be a source of blessing and encouragement to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
