You know what we've done in the past about a year ago before COVID we would have a time after worship where we would share testimonies and And we just have a time where random people from our community They're just living normal life They would share a testimony of how they share the gospel or how they're sowing seeds of the good news of Jesus in their everyday And we're gonna do that tonight. So Danny why don't you come up? Danny Christian everyone Just a stud so Danny's been at at growth for a long time like how many years? It's been a minute like four years or four years.
Yes, and he works in growth kids He's he's investing in our four through six four through six great boys that he's just investing in Just killing it, but you're also a pediatric nurse. Is that right? That's correct. Yes.
I got it And so he wanted to share testimony. We said yes. Let's go. Yes.
Let's go. Come on Danny pediatric nurse And so the other week I was going to work and I got this newer patient and she's actually completely paralyzed Right like she can't move her legs or arms pretty much It's reduced down to like she can blink and then on a good day She'll show like move her lip or something like that, right? and that's like a big deal. Oh my gosh, she did it and So I come into work one day and we talk by me asking her questions and then she answers yes or no based on her blink Right, so that's how we communicate So I'm always asking her questions and she's always answering me and there's one day I come into work And I was like man You know we're getting to the point where it's like watching movies and trying to do homework is actually getting kind of boring And like I don't want to be like the boring nurse that's coming in you know and like doing these kinds of things So one day I was like do you want me to like tell you a story and like emphatically?
She gives me this big blink and she's like yes, tell me a story and that was I shouldn't have said that because I don't know any stories So I got to this point and I was like okay literally the only stories I know our Bible stories So I was like we're gonna go straight to the gospels then and we're gonna learn about Jesus So every single time I see her I'm telling a story about Jesus and it's from the gospel and when it started they started off more as like I'm presenting Jesus as a teacher and every single time I come back I it's progressively becoming more and more about the divinity of Jesus It's like the first story was about Zacchaeus, right? And Jesus was kind of Zacchaeus and the next story was like on Jesus calming the storm It's like whoa, maybe he's a bit more than a teacher, you know It's like the weather is listening to him and so I come in this one day and I just felt really led to tell her the story in Mach five Mach five and In that story what happens is Jesus is on the way to heal this man's daughter And on the way he actually gets interrupted by a woman who is bleeding and touched his robe being for 12 years She gets healed he still goes to the man's daughter house and she gets healed everybody's getting healed So I tell her this story and I didn't think much of it We kind of talked about the moral historians like man like this teacher's healing people that's kind of dope So I go back to my nurse duties and like I'm charting and putting band-aids on things and like running IVs all that kind of stuff And I finish up and I look over and her stomach is moving like her stomach move up muscles are like twitching and moving Yeah, right and I'm like oh my gosh like what the heck that's impossible every because I'm new it right I'm like everything everyone has told me about this girl's like this is actually impossible for her to be able to move her stomach muscles It's reduced to like the small ones in her face So I'm like oh my gosh are you doing this on purpose and she blinks and she's like yes and and I don't know how to describe it guys but like the way she blinked at me it was like she was so proud of herself and So I'm hyping her up and I'm like let's go keep moving on you know Like work those muscles and it turned into like a workout class where the stomach muscles But so we're talking about it and it kind of clicks on my head I was like I was just teaching her about Jesus's healer and I was like were you motivated to Try to move your stomach muscles because I just told you the story about Jesus healing and she said yes, right? So we keep talking and I'm like oh my gosh Oh my gosh and I get her mom and I was like hey like this isn't normal right She's like I've never seen this before the entire time that I've been with her like this is abnormal We're celebrating her she leaves so I'm like alright We need to get down to the nitty gritty like how do we like how do we like discuss this and talk about it and the entire time is like as Me as a nurse as I had been coming into like this room like her situation feels like really really hopeless You know because it's so easy to just look at like surface-tangible things and be like man like she can't move like what hope is there for her and In the largest and kind of teaching like what does it look like to answer into a room and like really come at this hopelessness With the same spirit inside of me rose of Jesus from the dead and this is and this is like something where it's like I'm learning this and I'm growing in this right as I'm walking into this room So I'm talking to her and getting answers from her and I was like okay The Lord is asking me to ask her she's been having dreams So I was like hey So have you been having like dreams in the night since I started telling you these stories She's like yes, and she communicates to me that she's been having dreams of a man and white who his name is Jesus Is claiming to be God and wants to see her healed right so right and I'm like wow this is so powerful and I was like does this feel like a life-changing moment for you and she's like Yeah, no once again big yes, right so we're talking about I get to pray for her I get to pray for healing over her and it's a great time and then I had to get back to my inner studies and bandaids and then I Have to come into work the next day the next day is actually Easter and it was really easy for me to kind of like take on this Respective of like man. It's Easter I don't really want to be at work I want to be a church or like beginning dinner with my family You know and it's just kind of hitting on my drive over I was like who better to be spending Easter with this little girl than her Christian nurse you know like that's me and And so I come in and I was like for sure the gospel is being preached today like that's a lot you know So I come in I was like so do some stuff and I'm like so you know what Easter is about She's like kind of like I kind of know what it's about.
It's like, you know, Jesus We talked about Jesus a lot yesterday like he's the guy that like when you're something move that kind of thing She was like yeah, and I was like can I tell you his whole story? And she was like yeah, tell me his whole story And I got to preach the gospel all the way from creation to cross the Holy Spirit to the inside of us So this little girl on Easter and once again her stomach's moving all day again, you know, it's like it didn't stop You know so in my favorite part about like this story is like I'm still continually seeing her like we're building like relationship It wasn't like like I get to come back and I get to follow up So it's really good and yeah, that's what's going on work. Let's go Hey, I want us to just also keep stay standing and stand on her behalf before the Lord Can we just pray together? I'm gonna have Danny pray and we're just gonna pray in agreement with Danny You guys ready to do that?
Let's go. Thank you. Yeah, Jesus God like we just come before you And we know like the price you paid on the cross is so much more than we even like would you blow our boxes? It's more than our boxes can even fit Jesus.
We recognize like you pay for physical healing like by your stripes We are healed by your stripes. My patient is healed God like in we know like you could do so much more than stomach muscles We say we say finger muscles. We say foot muscles. God.
We say whole arms You're not limited by physical disabilities Jesus And thank you that you're actually bringing more Christian nurses into her room that are gonna be preaching the gospel That there's gonna be this wave of people that are saying hey healing is actually possible for you And that it's not this stumbling block, but it's actually hope for her that I'm not confined to this condition And I'm not confined to this disability So Jesus we recognize that you're doing a move in that room and we love you and we love the narrative that you're writing in her story Yeah, amen amen amen all right. Thanks Danny Come on This is the end to spectator Christianity We were never meant to sit on the sidelines and pews and church buildings But we are always meant to be in the game Is that right? We are always meant to know him for ourselves and to know what he says about us and to know the authority and the power that we have And I just want to encourage you that you have the story of God in you Just like Danny you all of those stories that you've read in your own time all the stories that you've got in your heart They are always meant to be shared and I just feel like I've got a whole room of storytellers Even at home for like the youtubers you guys are like you haven't been to church in a long time We love you But I believe there's there's people on the couches all around our city and in this room that are storytellers to tell the story of God That it would get multiplied amen turning your bibles to Matthew 6 Matthew 6 we've been in the series called priest we've been talking about worship and prayer We've been talking about how we're all priests of God not the Catholic type of priest But the Old Testament have direct access to God type of priests and that every single one of us was meant to be like a reverend That has the the caller right the everyday reverence all of you are everyday reverence You've been called to actually as pastors as priests to your spheres of influence You've been called to have access to the holy of holies the place that was only reserved for one man To connect with God and now all of us get to do that all of us get to know him intimately and so we've been talking about that and Last week we kind of started talking about the the calling on our lives as intercessors and How one of the things that priest did was they would come before God on behalf of someone else That's what intercession is when you come before God and you talk to God and pray to God on behalf of a friend So or a family member or whoever right and so that's what intercession is and what we're gonna continue to do is talk about How to pray and maybe some of us are like man? I've never prayed out loud before in front of someone I know that there's a lot of people in the room that have probably been in that place or are in that place right now where you've never felt comfortable enough Because there's so much insecurity in your heart.
You're like I don't want to pray like don't call on me at church Right that would be like your worst nightmare is a me to just pick up a mic and put it in front of your face and like pray for us Right and you're like no no no right and so what I want us to do is what we want to go after is Confidence in prayer and and boldness in prayer To the point where you actually feel so confident that you are praying the will of God that you know It's gonna happen like that you know what you're praying is actually what he wants And so it's just gonna happen every time you pray right I believe that we're called to walk in prayers of faith How many of you have ever prayed and I've done this before where I pray and I don't really mean or like believe that what I'm praying is actually gonna happen We should like it's a waste of time for me to pray something and not actually believe what I'm praying is gonna take place And I believe God is actually inviting us to go. Oh, I know this is gonna happen I have confidence I have faith and this mountain is gonna move whatever it is It's gonna happen. It's gonna take place because we're all in agreement me and God We know that we're on the same page and I'm just giving language to what he wants to do right? So Matthew 6 The disciples asked Jesus this question and and another in Luke.
It's a passage where the disciples are like man Jesus Would you teach us how to pray? Would you teach us how to pray? How many of you guys have ever seen the shows where they drop off some mountain man in the wilderness and he has to survive for like days days on hand right and so they like bring in a helicopter drop him off with these poor camera men, right? And honestly I picture the cameraman.
They're like eating cliff bars and he's like starving right? They've got like big cantines. You know is that what it's called cantinas cantines anyways, whatever it is And they're just like drinking and he hasn't drank for like three and a half days, you know Anyways, I remember I was watching one of those shows with my kids and it was a couple months ago And it was the episode where they dropped him off in the desert and there's just no water anywhere Right and it's like it's like day two. He's ran run out of water and he just starts doing thing I wish that he didn't do what he did in that episode where it's like man I hope I never get to the point where I have to do what he did on camera because he's so dehydrated right?
It's like wow Man really right so anyways there's he's doing these things. Some of you are like what did he do just think about Think about what he probably had to do when he got desperate No, but what he did is he's he's searching that so he does that and then he starts searching for like greenery anywhere Right and he's starting to try to find water and what he does is he's he's finding vegetation And he starts following the greenery and the growth and all the sudden he came to the source He came to the stream and that's what the disciples is they start getting closer to Jesus and they're seeing all the miracles They're seeing all the teachings They're seeing everything that he's doing they started seeing that he had the secret sauce and it was called prayer And they had they didn't ask him teach us how to preach good Teach us how to teach teach us how to heal the sick or raise the dead They didn't say that they said teach us how to pray because they knew that was actually the secret That was the key that Jesus was walking and there was something about when he was talking to the Lord That was making all of this other stuff happen And so Jesus then he responds and he teaches them a poem everybody say a poem the Lord's prayer is a poem That Jesus teaches his disciples so that they understand the values of prayer How many of you know that that Jesus intent when he was giving us the Lord's prayer was not that this is how we pray Like the exact words that we pray when we pray John 17 Jesus is in the Garden of Gethsemane, and he's not reciting the Lord's prayer He's not a father in heaven. Hallelujah to be your name. You know he's not doing that right?
He's actually there's the values of prayer from the Lord's prayer that he's he's praying But it's off the page right and so he teaches them this poem that's jam-packed with Kingdom values And we're gonna get into the first half of the Lord's prayer tonight And I believe that this first half is is really speaking of intercession and One of the another way to say intercession is your kingdom come your will be done on earth as it is in heaven In other words, I want the perfect to hit the imperfect in people's lives around me I want heaven to invade earth and so we're gonna because we're talking about intercession what we're gonna do is we're gonna go line by line through the first half and I just want to acknowledge those some of us are like Well, I've heard the Lord's prayer and and I would be surprised if we haven't heard it But we've gotten familiar with these words and and we're kind of so familiar with it that it's lost It's meaning because it's just a blah thing like I've heard it so many times And so what I want to do is I want to kind of bring new understanding And I want to I want to actually demystify the Lord's prayer and prayer in general so that we can actually step into Our calling is priests and intercessors, okay, so that's what we're gonna do you guys ready all right verse nine Pray then like this our Father in heaven Our Father in heaven jesus the right out of the gate. He's saying when you pray it's amazing that God is a king It's amazing that he's a master. It's amazing that he's Lord But I want you to pray and know that you have direct access to a papa direct access to a dad And he's the most wise dad. He's the most rich dad.
He's the most fun and joyful dad You need to understand that you have direct access to a dad And I want you to know that he's also in heaven. So as you're in the thick of all the junk He's actually high above and he has how many of you have ever talked to a parent And you're like I'm in drama mode and then they're on the outside and they can actually talk you off the cliff, right? Our father is in heaven from a different point of view But this also speaks of he's in heaven, but he was always meant to be on earth with us, right? And so it's this reminder of like this is positionally where we're at It's who we're talking to and it's where we're talking from heaven And so that's our father and we've been talking about during that we've been talking about that during our pre-series Like the beyond of God the knowledge of God knowing God is father intimately so I'm gonna move forward All right Hollywood be your name.
How many of you use the word hollywood just in daily life? Just like yeah, hollywood. Okay, we got one really spiritual brother over here Talks to it talks to his girlfriend hollywood you are hollywood. I don't know how would you use it, but I love it Hollywood be your name hollywood in in the greek means sanctified Sanctified be your name now There's two ways that the word sanctified takes effect Sanctified means to to be set apart or to be holy, right?
And so with us in our relationship with God in our life He has us on this process of sanctifying us or bringing us into set-apartness and holiness, right? But when we're talking about sanctifying the name of God What that means is that you would be treated as holy that your name or your character who you are would be treated as holy Another way to say this is that you would be honored and seen rightly If you want to write that next to in your bible, you know next to hollywood that you would be honored and seen rightly Seen for who you are that your reputation would actually match your worth That's what jesus is saying and so jesus is teaching us as God is teaching us how to talk to God And this is of utmost priority to him to have that be part of the thing that we want But I want to I believe that this phrase that you would be honored and seen rightly It's actually comes from the overflow of knowing him as father, right? You encounter him as father and then you're like, oh, I want you to be seen rightly and honored for who you are Hollywood be your name your kingdom come On earth as it is in heaven your kingdom come what's a kingdom? It's like a society It's a culture it's a government.
That's what a kingdom is and so we have a kingdom and the father is over this kingdom And a lot of times when we think of kingdom we think of this spiritual reality and we think of kingdom of heaven like A bunch of church services or a long worship service and then we think of ourselves with the wings on our back and we're like Right, that's what you think of when you think of heaven. So some of you do still think that right listen We must think about heaven according to what the bible says heaven is actually a city That has buildings and streets, okay, and it has people living in the city and This is what I wonder, you know, I wonder if what tv commercials look like in heaven I wonder what marketing strategies look like in heaven I wonder what conference rooms and how how man will meet in the new Jerusalem in heaven. What does that feel like? What does it feel like in class?
What is the what is the classroom culture like in heaven? What does it look like when you're walking the street and you're taking a walk with your dog or your lion whatever it is Your pet what does it look like in heaven? What's the culture of the neighborhoods of heaven? This is not just some fairy tale ethereal existence in the future.
No, that's actually reality How many of you know adam and eve in the garden? Um, they're dwelling with god and it's not just a worship service that's happening in the garden No adam and eve are like working the ground, but god dwells with them there That's what the end of the story looks like but it's going to be a city rather than a garden This is the beginning and the end of the story and so what's happening is jes is saying I want you to have this heavenly perspective of the kingdom and it's like a culture And so one of the ways that you could say it differently is your kingdom comment means your culture established You could write that if you want to if it helps you. I'm trying to give different language to actually bring to life what this means Your culture established What does it look like to have the king? King jesus the father over Our culture and so he's saying I want you I want you to agree with me in that it's almost like um Let's say there's a ceo and he's let's say jeff bezos right he's over amazon richest man On the earth, okay, so he has a lot of resources billions and billions of dollars And you're the right hand man the right hand woman to jeff And you're in this meeting with jeff you guys are talking and jeff says hey, what do you think we should do?
And this is how prayer works prayer works like this hey, what do you think we should do? And then you remind jeff what he said a couple months ago in a meeting And what he wanted to do a couple months ago and you say well What if we did what you wanted to do and then jeff goes jeff goes? Yeah, let's do it and then jeff activates and uses all of his resources and he makes a decision and everything starts All of these things start happening because you remind a jeff of what he already said he wanted to do That's what prayer is like That's what prayer is like And I want to um anchor us again that we're not talking this is like the hallowed be your name to go back to that We're not talking to just a random a random person There's it actually gets to contextualize when we when we understand who we're talking to the father It changes how we think because then we start realizing oh you have all power and all authority and all wisdom All of the resources at your disposal So I come into your presence and I speak to you as a father But also as the one that has endless resources And then we start getting this faith rising up in us It's like you have capacity and power to do everything that you want to and now we get to partner with your heart of what you want to do Okay, your will be done Your will be done How do you know what god's will is? How do you know what he wants to do another way to say will is desire or longings what he wants?
So jesus is saying this is how you pray what you want That's what I want Whatever your longing is and whatever your desires are for heaven and they're always fulfilled in heaven I want those same desires to get fulfilled on earth your will on earth as is in heaven So what you're doing is you're trying to figure out all of us are trying to figure out What's what does he want and do you know how we figure out what he wants? We read the bible And we start looking at the bible and then you start seeing things as you read the bible because you're getting to know him When you read the bible you don't read your bible because you should you read your bible because you want to get to know a person Right? So you're getting to know him and what he desires what he likes what he wants So then when I read the bible and I see he doesn't want anyone to perish in other words He doesn't want anyone to go to hell But he wants everyone to change the way that they're living and meet him It says in second peter three that he doesn't want anybody to perish But everyone to come to the knowledge of him and to repent and turn towards him That's what he wants and so I can have every bit of confidence when I pray And I'm praying for someone that doesn't know Jesus And I want them to meet Jesus Do you know how confident you get to be as you pray for them to meet Jesus? You get to have 100% confidence because you know that's what he wants So when I come to him I first of all I come in to the presence of God knowing that I'm forgiven So then I come in with boldness right and then I have boldness on my voice When I ask him to encounter my friend that doesn't know Jesus or my coworker that doesn't know Jesus I'm like oh, this is what you want We're on the same page Let's go and I get excited because now we have unity and agreement and we're just like yes encounter them Meet them show them who you are right?
How about how about you're praying for someone to know God? Well, I know in john 17 Jesus says that that's what he wants So I'm just kind of repeating back to him like the whole jeff basil saying right I'm repeating back to him what he wants to do That's what prayer is that's what prayer is I'm praying for uh my my friend that Let's say there's they're struggling with a relationship that they have they're experiencing a level of depression because of how they're thinking about this relationship And I go well in Romans 12. It says that We renew our minds holy spirit renews our minds and then it transforms our lives So I'm gonna just pray I'm gonna talk to you and tell you what you already want to do in their lives You want to renew how they're thinking change how they're thinking so it can transform them so depression can go So I'm just going to actually agree with what you already want to do That's how prayer works, but this is this is how prayer works also God is so humble and meek This is like mind-boggling to me He's sovereign which means that he doesn't have to answer to anyone Sovereignty does not mean that he's micromanaging your life Despite popular opinion in the church sovereignty does not mean like looking up in the dictionary sovereignty does not mean he's micromanaging everything And he's controlling everything he's not the one that brought all the destruction in your life That's not him satan and sin and the fallen world is the thing that brought destruction to your life, okay But he's sovereign which means he doesn't answer to anyone but he still chooses to To partner with us and the way that he gets revealed to the world is in partnership with us So what that means is he's not going out and just doing a bunch of stuff He said I'm gonna be like ahead to a body and you're gonna be the body So in other words, I'm restraining my power I'm restraining my activity in the earth And I'm gonna be the head like the head of a body and then you are gonna be neck down In other words, you're gonna do things you're gonna walk and you're gonna touch things But I'm gonna be the the one that thinks and helps you it helps give direction to you, right? And so what happens in life is the only way that the world is gonna meet Jesus listen The only way that the world meets Jesus is through you being his representative Physically in everyday life and then through you partnering with him in the place of prayer It's the only way that God is gonna be revealed to everyone Is me sharing the good news of Jesus and being good news And me partnering with Holy Spirit through prayer because this is what happens I he wants to do these things I listen to him and I hear what he wants to do and I repeat back to him what he wants to do And then by the power of Holy Spirit Holy Spirit and angels start doing stuff This is an example My friends and I we were in high school and we started praying for a guy named Alan Pedram Alan Pedram was the worst of the worst in our high school, but super popular, right?
So he got all the ladies, but he was just a bad dude And we started praying for Alan and we're just praying that God would encounter Alan And then all of a sudden on January 2nd in 2004 Alan had just been binge drinking for two and a half days And he sits in his bed. He sits up in his bed and he says God if you're real Would you reveal yourself to me? And for the next seven hours He starts having a conversation with God and God starts talking back and forth to him For seven straight hours and he gets born again in that same week Listen, this is how God does things God does things in partnership with us We just say this is what you want to do and would you do it and then all the sudden there's things that start happening We were praying for months though. See we think it's just like microwave it But we were persistent and secret going oh get him lord.
Holy spirit. Hound of heaven get Alan Oh, man. He wants you. We know he wants you and we know that you want him so just give him lord, right How many of you know that that uh, there's like a granny somewhere praying underneath the staircase That's actually the key to so many encounters happening in our city because there's actually just one in secret coming before the lord going lord I want what you want Lord, I'm just gonna give language to him.
I'm gonna open up my mouth and agree with you This is the power of the tongue when no one's around it's powerful. Jesus in this passage He says close the door Close the door when no one else can see you Listen when I pray It's it's not a big deal. Okay. Like my prayers on a mic.
That's lame What's actually powerful is you in secret and me in secret. That's what's really powerful Not the religious person up front with a microphone So to review the three words that we talked about was hallowed kingdom and will And and to break it down those three words hallowed another way to say it is honored or seen rightly Kingdom What we mean by that is your kingdom come means like your culture established And your will be done is is we want your desires fulfilled And those are the kind of the content of prayer and intercession of what happens in the place of prayer Okay And so what I want to do is I want to interact with those three things a little bit We're gonna probably get to mostly we'll probably touch all three But we're gonna get out of the spectator mode and we're gonna like practice it. Okay. We're gonna practice praying Are you guys ready to practice?
I know that's kind of funny. Um, but as we practice we're actually gonna mean it Okay, so we don't have to just like do a spiritual religious activity. We're actually gonna mean what we're doing. Okay, so let's all stand up And we can spread out throughout the room.
I don't know if we have a piano Um, they're probably gonna there. Oh, there we go. What's up, Joe? You don't need a piano to pray But sometimes it's nice because you're good at piano.
So it's nice to have it. Okay. Um So what we're gonna do is is we're gonna pray for a family member. Um, so someone in your family So why don't you close your eyes?
And we're gonna pick a family member to pray for Whoever comes to your mind first say amen if you got him all right And We're gonna pray for this family member and what we're gonna do is we're gonna ask the question of the Holy Spirit Who do you want to reveal yourself as? Who do you want to reveal yourself as to this person? And this is kind of what happens. This is kind of what it looks like.
I'm gonna give you an example. So, um, I got the the name I got my mom, so I'm gonna pray for my mom and What I what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna ask who do you want to reveal yourself as and what I heard was he's that he's got the healer So some of you might be getting things, you know, when we start praying you might be getting like, uh, he's a god of compassion Or he's a manual or there's a whole host of things of how Jesus has revealed himself or revealed the father, right? Or maybe it's just like the father he wants to reveal himself as dad Um, but I got god that he wants to reveal himself as the healer And so what I'm gonna do is I am going to turn that name of god or that characteristic about god Into conversation with him So I'm gonna start talking to god about him And I'm gonna start meditating and dialoguing with god about who he is, okay Because this is a conversation, right? And so I'm gonna start talking to him and and I'm just gonna I'm gonna start praying and this is actually authentic.
Okay, so don't this isn't like a performance or something Okay, I'm just like actually gonna talk to him, but I might stop and give explanation. Okay, so Lord, I just thank you that you are the father of healing And that there's and so right now right away I started thinking about our father who dwells in heaven and I immediately thought in heaven There's no sickness, right? And so I'm gonna say father I thank you that there is no sickness in heaven because you are a healer and you love bodies And um father I thank you for all of the times that Jesus laid his hands on people and said that he was willing to heal And lord, I thank you that that's always your heart. It's always your desire.
It's always your will It's always what you want And you're gonna hear it see what I just talked about was what he wants, right? That he wants to bring healing and then I might say something like lord, I thank you that you have like heaven is a culture and Jesus showed us that it's a culture of healing and restoration And so what I'm doing is I'm talking to Jesus talking to father About Who he is and what he's like and now we're having a conversation and he's revealing to me what he's like as the healer And we're kind of having this like meditation moment where we're just having a conversation about him as the healer And it's so fun, right now I get to start like i'm meditating and i'm getting revelation about him as the healer It hits the pest, okay And then I turn and I'm now I find myself and i'm seated with him in heavenly places Holy Spirit's been revealing the depths of who God is about himself and now because i'm seated with God in heaven spiritually Now I look at my mom And I'm side by side with God and I look at my mom and go god reveal to my mom that you are the healer Reveal to my mom that you are the one that loves bodies and lord I thank you and then I start thinking about all of my mom's influence and her friend group And I start going I want that friend group to have a kingdom culture of healing through my mom And so I start going lord I thank you for using Partnering with my mom that she lay hands on the sick and there would be healings that would break out And that you would multiply that with all of her friends and that all of her friends would be mamas that are healers in the spirit Right and I just started praying the kingdom culture And this is totally what he wants to do with my mom Right and so that's kind of how prayer can happen as we just start agreeing with what he desires And it just started with me asking the question who do you want to reveal yourself as to this person Okay, so what we're gonna do is we're gonna ask that question And then what I want you to do is start talking remember You have power in your tongue And so I want us as we're praying I want you to actually open up your mouth and not pray in your mind Praying in your mind is a bad idea. Can I just I'll just say that Praying in your mind is a bad idea most of the time If you're if you have the ability to pray out loud pray out loud because we get so distracted so easily Okay, and you have power in your tongue And so I'm gonna encourage us to just pray even if it's just a whisper to pray out loud And you're gonna start what you're gonna do you're gonna start talking to him about him You're gonna start talking about things that you love about him As whatever he should reveal himself as the god of compassion Whatever it is the humble god Whatever it is and he's and you're gonna talk to him And then there's this moment where you turn and side by side with the Lord You look at your family member and go this is what you want to do This is what you want This is what you desire for them to know you as and and just agree with him, okay? So I'm gonna just cut you loose ready set go you can just start meditating You can just start thinking and connecting with him This is who you are Lord Can we turn up the piano in the house just to give some more sound so that we can feel a little bit more bold 30 more seconds You know what happens as we're doing this as you start As he starts showing himself as father in heaven in all of those ways the father of compassion The father of humility the father of power the father of healing whatever it is As he starts showing himself as those things then you start seeing things about the kingdom of heaven Right and you start loving all of those things about his culture And then you want those things to happen But what what takes place as you start connecting with him about that thing about that element of who he is You start getting faith built up in your heart What's what's actually happening spiritually is all of a sudden your spirit man starts getting stronger And you start getting more confident and you start getting confident about what you're gonna ask him Because you've been meditating on this is what he wants and all of a sudden there's faith that starts building up in your heart And you're going oh, I know that you want to do this now, right?
I know that this is who you are that this is what you want to do and you're gonna do it And I'm just gonna partner with your heart and all of a sudden you start getting excited And then you can confidently go lord show her this is who you are And it just lands different because you actually believe what you're praying right And so that I want to encourage us as we're reading the bible Remember that you get to actually scour the scriptures for like his desires his wants what he's like his personality, okay? Are we okay? That man that was good. Let's all stand I just want to uh commission you guys out as priests, okay And i'm tired of the the uh Like the christian culture like yeah, i'll pray for you brother and then we never pray You know or like then now I lay me down to sleep like I don't actually believe what i'm saying Um, I don't even mean anything that i'm praying, you know I want us to actually think critically about why we're praying what we're praying and not to get caught in our head But just like when you say bless lord lord bless them what do you actually mean?
You know and sometimes it's like these christian things that we just say and I want us to just break out of uh the christian bubbles The the constructs that we've come up with and actually mean the things that we pray and have faith as we're praying, okay? lord we declare That you are the best and we love you so much lord I thank you that you are the father of compassion You're the father of humility. You're the father of meekness What the heck that you said you want to reveal yourself in partnership with us man You're so humble and lord we thank you that you've actually taken You've taken us and you said that I want to move through them and it's just mind boggling but lord we accept responsibility for this call We accept responsibility for this invitation that you've given us lord. I just declare that these are your priests For every day these are your every day reverence and I just commission them out into our city in the name of jesus Amen amen Hey, I want to talk really briefly.
I know you guys have been staying for a little bit But I want to talk about these cards really quick they're going to be on your way out And what this is is we're we're going after purchasing a building as a as a community right as in between services There's a group of ladies about seven of them that we're waiting with the bathroom waiting for the bathroom And I was like let's just pray for a building all right Um, I don't know if any of you ladies have like held the stall door closed. It's like let's pray for a building right? Okay, so uh There's this building that we found on red fox road um just close to here and and we're actually presenting to the city of arden hills on may 5th Because there's some zoning change in that's needed and so we want to encourage you to just pray for that But as we were as we were getting ready to reveal you know every day and red fox a couple weeks ago We felt like holy spirit said that we were to seek his kingdom first in this process And we had this idea katine. I had this idea That instead of praying just for us to get into a building We wanted to pray for all of the people that are involved in the process of us getting into the building Um for the next couple months.
So instead of just praying like lord I pray that this council member would like say yes instead of that We're going to seek his kingdom first and we're going to ask that god would encounter every single person involved in the whole process And that they would meet jesus, right? And we just want to have that kingdom mindset We're going to seek his kingdom first and we know that all of the other stuff is just going to get added along the way And we're going to trust him to do that. Okay, so What this is is it says on the front choose a name and pray the bible And then it has five names on the back and it's the arden hill city council and it's all their names And so it's a divine setup that they got to be council members because now they've got people praying for them, right? And so this is fun so So I want to encourage you just choose one of their names You don't have to pray for all five just choose one and pray bible versus over them And just pray that they would meet god or that you know, just ask who do you want to reveal yourself as to this person?
Who do you want to reveal yourself as to I want read their names on online? But I want to encourage you to do that and you don't have to but if you want to you can grab one of these you can put it on your Fridge you can put it on your mirror whatever it is But would you pray with us? We're also in the future we're going to release one every single month So it's you know, we're going to be praying for architects.
