Our website:www.howtostudycantonese.com The Bob and Rob Show English Lessons podcast Mahmoud Ibrahim The Bob and Rob Show is a short podcast that is aimed at people who are trying to learn English. While they say their material is suitable for all levels, I think that beginners (and maybe even intermediates) would have a hard time learning anything constructive here. First of all, when they are bantering with each other, both Bob and Rob speak rather quickly. This probably makes it difficult for a beginner to follow the gist of the conversation. Second, they tend to use a lot of idiomatic phrases that beginning language learners would not understand. When they start talking about the grammatical topic of the week, things get much better. They explain the grammar rules pretty well and they give good examples.Overall, I think this podcast could be useful for higher intermediate and advanced students.(By the way, I wish they would lose that cheesy laugh track!)
