Episode 31: Ethan Coen, of Coen brothers fame, made this one with co-writer Tricia Cooke. It's a fun neo-noir film, briskly paced, and the second in a planned trilogy. We heard the single “Without You” a few episodes back and I love the whispery, breathy singing on that track. The whole album includes a range of sounds, centering around those vocals and bringing in some feats. Some of the songs have a very 90s/early 2000s feel, some are dreampop and shoegaze.
