International Folk Alliance 2026 artists and Tunes Part II.... And thensome!

The Andy Kimbel Show is back with another rich, soul‑stirring journey into the music you’ll want to keep on your radar. In this special episode, we continue our deep dive into the unforgettable performances from the 2026 International Folk Alliance Conference, held this past January in the vibrant musical heart of New Orleans. The conference was overflowing with extraordinary emerging artists, and we’re thrilled to bring you another hand‑picked collection of the songs that lit up the showcases and late‑night rooms. This is Part Two of our Folk Alliance in Review, and honestly, the challenge wasn’t finding great music—it was figuring out how to fit it all in. The sheer volume of talent was staggering, and we were fortunate to receive so many standout tracks from artists who truly left their mark. There was no way to contain all of that brilliance in just a couple of episodes, so consider this another chapter in an ongoing celebration. And yes, more of these incredible performers will be featured in upcoming shows. In this episode, we’ll also hear from Kevan Michaels, who once stepped in to sing with a very well‑known band back in the day—an unexpected moment that helped shape his musical path. And we’re spotlighting the work of the incomparable Patti Griffin, a singer‑songwriter whose artistry continues to inspire musicians and audiences alike. And that’s just the beginning; there’s plenty more in store. If you are an artist hoping to share your music with our listeners, we’d love to hear what you’re creating. Send your MP3 files to [email protected] for consideration. We’re always excited to help shine a light on rising talent whenever we can. Settle in, turn up the volume, and discover your next favorite artist.
