International Relations condemns criminality and xenophobia.

South Africa’s Minister for International Relations Lindiwe Sisulu has emphasised that the recent violence which erupted against foreign nationals is pure criminality and not xenophobia. Sisulu was speaking after a high level meeting with African Heads of Mission on Monday. Last week more than 150 Malawian nationals were displaced from one of South Africa’s informal settlements in Durban in the province of KwaZulu-Natal following attacks by locals. The meeting called by Sisulu was aimed at restoring faith in the South African government to address the attacks.
