International service at Pittsburgh International will expand next summer with a new route. Icelandair will start nonstop flights to Reykjavik on May 16th. It is seasonal service through October with four flights a week. Tourism to Iceland was surging before the pandemic shutdown and it is strong agian. Also, from Reykjavik, Icelandair can connect passengers to dozens of European destinations. Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald: There was service to Reykjavik before but it ended in 2019 when Wow Air suspended flights.
