International Workers Day came with protest in dozens of cities

from Bay Area All Local

Thousands are taking to the streets to mark International Workers' Day. As KCBS' David Welch reports, San Francisco is among dozens of cities where protesters are rallying against what they call overarching federal policy. Volunteers are painting, landscaping and repairing homes across Silicon Valley today. KCBS’ Shannon Golden has that story from San Jose. Police are investigating a massive theft at an East Bay park after thieves stripped dozens of memorial plaques from park benches. As KCBS's Matt Bigler reports from Alameda, the brazen heist was likely motivated by the scrap metal value of the bronze name-plates. All this and more on this edition of the All Local hosted by Rebecca Goodeyon.
