Abi begins with a serious and personal message. After 7 minutes, the Halloween fun begins with the introduction to an early internet icon, Slender Man. They brush up on the ARG basics discussed in the original Internet Casserole of 2020. The origin of the terrifying creature known as the Slender Man is revealed. The early internet provided a playground for creatives to post to forums, and Something Awful’s challenge of June 2009 changed the horror community forever. The women go through some archives where slender man’s lore unfolds as children are going missing and animals are being mutilated.  A quick intermission for some thoughts on AI and UFO abductees. Participants build a dark and fascinating backstory, even reaching as far as BC times, proving a more convincing origin of the monster. Slender Man being the reason behind an attempted murder by two 12-year-old girls in Wisconsin in 2014 causes grave concern. Abi reads a short diary entry.
